I get the impression that Davina really doesn't like Makosi, which should make a fun future eviction show...

could apathy be the reason that Kermal is out- I didn't vote, did you? I was so sure that Orlaith would go that I didn't want to waste the cost of a call.

Haus of Mystery

I haven't voted once. Came close with that shithead Maxwell, but that's it. Like I said it's the hate vote that shifted Kemal.

I voted Maxwell & my SO voted twice for Saskia...

but i couldn't really give a shit any more...

While that's true, I'd still much rather have him on my television than Orlaith. The moments of Kemal being deeply annoying far outweighed the moments when he was genuinely entertaining, but at least he was capable of being entertaining every now and again.

Orlaith, on the other hand, is just awful. What does she exist for, other than to drain all the energy out of those she comes into contact with? She does three things:

1) Showers
2) Sits there like a wet weekend, moaning away
3) Waits until somebody (anybody) exits the room, then tells the others how vile she finds that person

You know how people always argue about whether or not evil really exists? It does, and it's on our screens right now.

I do think that Orlaith is sometimes horrible but she is very, very attractive.

I'm going to start a campaign to have finding Orlaith attractive recognised as a distinct, separate sexuality to my own (and that of every I-fancy-women identifying person I know).

%Cheers, Great Cocking British Public.%

I'm amazed at just how upset I became to hear Kemal was voted out over Orlaith. My own interpretation is that it's partly down to the Edwina Currie Effect, upon which Orlaith appears to be trading: complain more or less constantly about how much you're hating it, you want/plan to leave, others are much more deserving of staying in the House than you are - and the credulous voters keep you in.

Kemal, on the other hand, was at least honest about how much he was loving every dramatic minute of being in the House.

Which, naturally, sets him apart all the other not-at-all-bitchy in-no-way-shits currently packing out the House?

Are you fucking kidding me?

Hi Cistern, I hope I know what you mean. I think it's "zhoosh" though it often gets spelt differently (Pre-apologies for trainspotteryness here, I'm doing a research project on spelling, and this word has come up a lot in our discussions).

Previously I'd heard it on Nigella Bites ('Let's zhoosh up the salad with a bit of olive oil') but along with fab-lous, it was def one of Kemal's favourite words in the exit interview. I haven't got a proper linguistic source. On the wikipedia entry for polari it's mentioned as a word for styling hair, but I reckon its meaning has expanded to 'making x even more fabulous'. Very Kemal.

This for a 23 year old strikes me as bit wet, and a bit of a mummys boy, ie he's not adult enough to care for himself as most 23 year olds are, sorry if I didn't make it clear enough- I was refering to his lack of adult ability rather than lack of masculine traits. Thus without a Craig or someone to care for him he's on his own.

Okay, no, I don't think this is why Anthony's tolerating Craig. If the pair of them were living together apart from the House and Craig were cooking, cleaning and washing everything for Anthony, I think it'd be a more plausible explanation of his behaviour.

Davina seems to detest Craig as well as Anthony - although I suspect her loathing might well be diluted by "ah, but he's in love, innee?"ism.

Fack abahhht! Orlaith has made good on her threat/promise, and walked, citing irreconcilable differences with Derek as her reason.

All my days...

12:32 / 30.07.05
It's really bizarre to find myself rooting for the Tory, but the current scapegoating of Derek is pissing me off, particularly when Craig's positioning himself firmly in the victim role:

In an evening of sharing Derek bitching tales, Craig chose to tell Anthony about the love rumour. Craig claimed that even he didn't know why Derek would assume such a thing. Hmm.

"Can I tell Anthony what he (Derek) said about me?" Craig asked Makosi and Orlaith. Jumping in, Makosi said to Anthony, "He thinks Craig is in love with you."

Craig and Anthony both burst out laughing at the absurdity.

Playing the innocent Craig said, "That's what I have to deal with. That's the mental torture I have to deal with!"

Because, obviously, Derek has no grounds at all for believing Craig to be a smitten kitten, and obviously he's the only one to have expressed as much.

Arses. I want Derek to win now.

Good move by Orlaith I think - she wasn't going to win anyway, and at least this way she'll get a bit more coverage than the inevitable photo-spreads in Nuts and Zoo. Plus, her incessant whining has now been silenced.

If previous form is to be maintained, whenever a houemate walks another is put in. In theory this would mean Kinga goes in, since she wasn't evicted by the public, but since she was evicted by Makosi they probably can't put her back in because it would be bending the rules.

On the other hand they can't put anyone in that the public don't know at this late stage, so perhaps they might have to turn to Kinga. The only other alternative is to break the Big Brother rules and not put anyone in, but this fucks up the voting rather.

My delight in Orlaith's walking is tempered slightly by the fact that she will now not be evicted and by given big British boos by the great British public/select few people who think standing outside to see minor celebs is a fabulous way of spending a friday evening.

Plus I bet Kemal is mightly pissed off - if she'd walked before Friday they would have probably left Kemal in. Which makes Orlaith even more of a stupid old trout since I have no doubt she worked that out.

Quote from my 7 year old about Orlaith, "Would it be alright to say the F-word about her then?"

kemal leaving was definitely a keltic thing, aka the jason from last year effect. i think it's a very shitty thing for her to have waited until (just) after the eviction to do this. very gutted about the vote really, two thoroughbred bigbro stars gone in two weeks. get kinga in, just for the look on derek's face - when the eviction was announced, it looked as if derek immediately decided 'well that's alright, i'll just kill orlaith with my eyes instead', which he kinda has.

From Digital Spy:

A new housemate is to join the group tonight, Big Brother has confirmed.

The replacement for Orlaith will enter during an hour long live show on Channel 4 at 9pm.

The new arrival - rumoured to be unlucky gardenmate Kinga - will be eligible to win the show but in a further twist, will not be exempt from the final round of nominations on Monday.

On BBLB Orlaith told Dermot that she deliberately waited until Kemal had gone. Punish her! I want to punish her!
