After Anthony's performance, I'm now having trouble listening to any down to earth North East-accented ad voiceovers on TV, without expecting the announcer to explain that he's not gay, right, at any given moment.

Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though.

I hope that the Geordie Big Brother, the entertaining and sarcastic one that I secretly have a bit of a crush on (not so secretly now, then) gets some front-of-camera work rather than just producing in future: I want to see what he looks like.

Was he the one Anthony had the blind date with? He did indeed have a warm-bath-in-custard voice. And a rough edge to his wit.

Now he's out from under the crushing weight of stalkerdom, Anthony actually appears to be a bit of a nob, doesn't he? I mean, I know he already was, but it was quite easy to forget that when you were rooting for him to twat Craig.
His "shopping list" of birds he wants to shag, for example, as replicated in most of the tabloids over the last couple of days... (this is a paraphrase, unfortunately, but I think it;s fairly accurate)- "I'd like to shag all of Girls Aloud. Well, except the ginger one".

Really. What a nob.

In contrast, Eugene was really good value on Radio 1 this morning. I'd hope that he'd be the one to make something exciting happen from his experience, but other than Brainiac it's hard to think of an appropriate vehicle, plus he's more likely to want to sink into obscurity and return to a job that for him is completely vocational.

Yeah, but, no one likes the ginger one.

Does anyone have video or audio of Anthony's "Big Gay Date"? The summaries made Geordie Brother sound a right laugh.

Who wins? Who gives a shit...

I caught a couple of minutes of some post-BB thing this morning, following this year's contestants and showing what they were doing now.

Lesley was claiming to have received offers from FHM and The Daily Sport to appear topless - with her mum and her nan. She didn't seem to realise that they were probably taking the piss. Also claimed to have not spoken to Sam since leaving the house, which we know is bollocks - they appeared together on stage at some festival or other and were shown chatting backstage on BBLB. Still in her own little world, then.

Couldn't quite match the brilliance that was Roberto's 'where is he now' file. Roberto and agent sitting in cafe, agent telling cameraman how it's important to get Roberto's image out there straight away, keep him high profile. To this end, he'd organised a photoshoot for him alongside previous contestant Vanessa Nimmo. This caused much puzzlement in the Dupre household as we tried to remember who the hell Vanessa Nimmo is. That's sure some nice, high-profile work your agent's got you there, chief. Posing with a woman nobody can remember. Take notes - her fate will be yours.

I'm only faintly surprised to find myself almost entirely uninterested in them now they've left the House. It's all about the situation for me, I think.

Are we looking at the polar-opposite of faghagdom?

I think we're looking at the equivalent of Chicken Stu and the Mollusc ie. a couple of BBers pooling their media resources to keep themselves in redtops and Men & Motors for, ooh, the best part of a year. If they're lucky. I'll be surprised if some Max Cliffordalike hasn't encouraged this.

Then again, a heart-fondening break might've been enough to pull Anthony back in. All the best establishing "ground rules", Anthony...

(I give it three months.)

Still, I can't think of anything in the world that would induce me to live with Craig, and unlike Anthony he's never 'put the moves' on me. That's a remarkable drive to be in tabloids on the part of the 70s dancer...

Oh, I doubt it's just about fame-spinning. Intellectually, Anthony's not the zingiest lemon on the tree, and a bit of distance might've been all he needed to forget the hideously unSelfawarian boundary-trampling of the Sniveller and speculate that, if his Nan's not gonna be around to iron his pulling trousers, it might be nice to have a quasi-Nan/wife around the house.

Of course, he might as well attempt to establish a "ground rule" of Craig not crying, or shitting, or breathing.

I know I've mentioned this already (possibly in another thread but I can't for the life of me remember where) but a friend of mine had an ace idea for a sitcom. It'd be like Darma and Greg, except it'd be Jeffrey Dahmer.

I think his dream may yet come true.
