I've not heard any opinion on it yet, but if the last one is anything to go by - and it probably is, as this sounds remarkably similar - the disc'll be more useful as a coaster. Last time round it was Resident Evil without the flair or suspense.
Loving Animal Crossing so fair (although, to be fair, I've only had it a couple of days). It's got more in common with DoA Volleyball than The Sims: go here, collect this, make friends with that. I know where you're coming from, fridge - You really need at least two people playing it. There's a wonderful Internet community built up, which goes some way to showing how successful it is in its main aim.
Ikaruga is fairly mental, but not quite as mental as Radiant Silvergun. A little easier than its predecessor and lacking a little of that game's sense of style. Still, best straight, old school shoot 'em up I've played since RS, without a doubt. The colour mechanics, though simple, can be a little brain-melting for the first couple of games, becoming second-nature quite soon after. It's also not quite as difficult as I was led to believe; twenty, thirty minutes of play in and I can already clear the first level in one credit. That said, it's a perfectionist's dream. A slow motion practice mode and the ability to watch recorded perfect runs of unlocked levels shows who this one's aimed at. |
