Haus, do you feel it is cowardly and hypocritical to maintain a stance of calm aloofness in this thread, whilst littering your PM’s to me with personal insults? Because I feel it is.
“Crawled in from the temple”? You may have apologised to the temple, ok, so can you apologise to me, for saying I ‘crawled in’? it might help me to believe that you didn’t apologise at that point merely to undermine my line of argument.
Incidently, I came to barbelith from a thread about The Brian Jonestown Massacre, in music. So you are also incorrect.
I felt it was important to point out that these were baseless and clearly personal attacks.
No, not baseless. Yes personal, obviously, as my points pertained to you. and also, not attacks. With the abuse you unleashed on my in the PM’s, I am pretty sure I hit at least one home-truth. By the way, I don’t wish for an apology for this. You were so far-wide of the mark, I just laughed. It was like watching Mickey Mouse blow his top.
But, on reflection, that seems to be pretty clear to everyone who expresses an opinion.
Not from where I’m standing. Just because some of your friends have posted some weird accusations, like I ‘joined barb to get in argument with haus’ (???!!!), doesn’t mean everyone sees it that way. And indeed they don't.
I am afraid ‘it’s a joke’ doesn’t wash with me, over the thread title, or the cartoon you posted. They are clearly ‘jokes’. However, the target of the joke appears to be the very people who you are claiming to want the opinion of. Personally, I felt patronised by the cartoon you posted. My internal response was pretty much, ‘you don’t give a shit about the people you are engaging with, whose opinions you have asked for’ but I guess I knew that in the beginning. I just wanted others to see it.
Dupre- Only, in FFF's case, it's obvious that ze has no interest in anything other than singing the Haus is a Bully song.
This is the ‘Opinion presented as fact’, that you agreed you disliked earlier in the thread. Plus, I find that sweeping statements don’t work in discussions. Today I learnt a brand new song- ‘Dupre likes to dish it out’. Always good to expand your repertoire, don’t you think? Sing along if you know the words.
I was happy to keep my opinions to myself. However, as Haus started a thread asking for feedback about why he’s a LRFA, well, I thought I would let him know my 2 cents. I just gave him what he asked for, and I actually think that a ‘thankyou’ wouldn’t go amiss, as I put a lot of thought into those posts, for his benefit.
Dupre- I'm sure, for example, that Fucking Fuckwit Finger thinks that ze's being attacked because as a newbie ze's an easy target,
