The thing is, if the tattoo works out for him, as it seems to be doing so far, he'll have to at least consider repeating the process every year, or risk 'hexing' himself.

And if 2006 suddenly turns sour on him (if, for example, he makes a fool of himself in the BB house, and is asked to leave early by the GBP,) he'll be reminded of that for some time to come.

Out of interest, does anyone know how many people have publicly expressed regrets about their time on the show? Has anyone? I seem to remember a documentary about this a couple of years ago, but the details are vague.

(Like the one he'll be signing in January when he gets the 6 changed to a 7).

(Sorry, just got that. It's the heat, honestly, not the mind.)

Michael would never fancy Dickie and would be far more drawn to someone like Pete.

Just what the show needs, one more convert to The Church of Pete.

It's getting to the stage where I desperately want someone, anyone, to nominate Petey-boy. I've about had it with everyone being too scared to target him because they don't want to look nasty. If he got evicted then there'd be everything to play for. As it is they're all squabbling for second place.

Admittedly he's one of the least offensive of the housemates (mainly because he couldn't be offensive if he tried), and I wouldn't be that bothered if he won. But I don't really want to see him coast through without a nomination/possible eviction.

The thing is, I don't think I could stand it if a nasty/annoying HM like Nikki or Lea (bwahahahaha) won. I guess it boils down to how do you deserve to win Big Brother? Nikki certainly seems popular from Barbeloids reactions to her, but would you vote for her? What is your criteria for a winning HM? Apart from Pete and Nikki and Glyn, who else is in this race?

Usually, we have HMs who've been on a journey.. who's that this year? Glyn? I don't see any evidence of character-development coming from Nikki - she's still the same spoiled dramatic ball of noise and fake-tears she was two days into the programme - and her views of Selfawaria mean precisely fuck-all when she continues to ignore them. Could such an obviously selfish person win? Won't somebody please think of the children?

Apart from Pete and Nikki and Glyn, who else is in this race?

Aisleyne gets my vote. She at least has a certain amount of selfawaria and tends to stand up on the side of truth and justice. She's got some flaws, no argument there, but she's one of the best of the bunch. As I mentioned a while back, she also seems to get that the key to winning BB is to get the support of the GBP. Avoiding being nominated is good but avoiding eviction is the important thing.

There's not really a universal standard checklist of attributes for a housemate that deserves to win. But I would prefer to see Aisleyne win over Pete because she's more interesting to watch, and "plays the game" (for want of a better term) with more skill and subtlety than anyone else in there.

Glyn and Nikki are just horrible horrible people (obviously IMO). They entertaining and can be very funny, but I still want to see them flung out of the building by catapult in the end.

Even so, it's all personal choice innit?

My criteria for who I want to win are partly the obvious factors (how much I like them, how much I engage with them, how much they entertain me, as well as some fairly nebulous notions of how much the ‘deserve’ it). But I also consider how much they want it.
For me, Nikki scores high across the board, and I think she’d just value winning more than any of the others. I tell myself this is utilitarianism, but basically I just want to see her face.

I’d also be reasonably happy to see Aisleyne, Richard and Glyn walk out last; probably in that order, and I waver about Glyn.

Lea and Dickie up this week. Lea already imploding.

She must go, TEXT LEA to that number.

New depths to be plumbed this week, I feel.

I'm going to assume that the general Barbelith/public consensus is to have Lea evicted?

84444, you'll find.

And yes, I for one desperately want Lea out. Partly because I reckon Richard is vastly more sinn'd against than sinning, and partly because I think Lea's become little more than a paranoia-machine.

I do look forward to watching that paranois get properly into gear though, now that she's been nominated.

Well, Richard looked the more shocked when nominations were announced (Lea, predictably, claiming, "I knew it"), but the Skeksi seemed more deeply rattled: she let other people hug her but, when Dickie tried, got all squawky.

Show her the skexit! Text LEA to 84444.

A question: Taking into account Lea's nomination status, the incoming housemates and other factors such as whether Pete smiles at her first thing in the morning, how many times do we expect her to saunter up to people casually and let slip that classic phrase of hers: " has proper changed?"

I predict for her to say it at least three times tonight.

Also regarding the whole potential Michael/Dickie saga, I'm sure that on BBLB Michael's friend said that Michael would never fancy Dickie and would be far more drawn to someone like Pete. I think that the friend had based this opinion on the fact that he thought Pete was very clever and did a lot of thinking, whereas Dickie was a bit thick.

I doubt it's about Dickie being perceived as thick so much as Dickie being perceived as shallow (which seems to be the main criticism aimed at him by fellow gayers - apparently we only need to look at him to know he's a superficial, brittle scene queen). Pete, by contrast, is of course a couple of rungs up from bodhisattva on the spiritualitometer. You can just tell.

Glyn nominates Pete because he's "boring" and "smells of BO"!!1

A nation prepares to be outraged.

Lea's really truly honestly only 35, apparently - Heat magazine has seen her birth certificate and she's really called Lisa.

Mikey almost articulate, there. I think Vern is gaining in popularity and getting a bit of momentum going on.

OOOH I love Nikki's North American accent!!!

Lea, inevitably, nominates based on what (she knows) people are thinking about her. Classic projection. Mikey, on the other hand, nominates Dickie because he looks at him funny and varies his level of campness (which is odd, because most of us gayers have it set on constant). Nikki's reason is best:

"It was a fig, not a poo!"

He certainly seems to be a Dermot favourite. The same issue of Heat that contains the shocking news that Lea really is younger than me has 'Dermy' waxing lyrical about how Mikey's suddenly sprung from nowhere as Teh Hero. He was the only Housemate to help Glyn when he was vomiting, don't y'know.

I didn't say it was deserved, no need for the tongueincheek-ing, mister! I suspect a secret betting cartel among the editors, laying off at long odds on the Vernster.

I'm criticising the Dermster there, ackchewerly.

She probably got it by looking at the tombstone of someone who was born and died in 1971, got the birth certificate of off it.

HA! Oh god I love Richard's nominations reasons!! I agree with him completely about being turned off of going to Wales by Glynn and Immogenital. Oh Richard CAN'T GO FRIDAY!! He must be in til the end so I can enjoy his nominations/diary room rants!

They're both quite dull, aren't they? And, if Suzie's to be believed on Glyn, both quite niffy.

The GB(V)P loves them, though. Apparently.
