Not in teh FAce: I hear you about that fucking awful ad. It goes on FOREVER. Not only does it go on forever but it's got that BASTARD TERRIBLE song wailing on the soundtrack for, oh, forever, AND they get the story totally wrong. I have rarely been happier in a cinema than when the policeman shot "Juliet" as she reached for the mobile phone. Ha ha ha.

Ha ha ha ha.

Ha!

I'm going to do the stuck record thing again, and I'm not sure that it really fits in with the thread title, but short of a thread for an inevitable, impotent sense of frustration, this'll have to do.

So yeah. When you said that you'd let me know either way about the job by Monday afternoon, because there's no point in making me hang about, I kind of figured that you might let me know either way about the job by Monday, because there's no sense in making me hang about. And yet here we are. Wednesday evening, with not a peep. So cheers for that.

On a similar note, when you say that I can download the application form, fill it in on my PC and email it off to you, I sort of thought that I might be able to fill it in on my PC. So forgive me if I'm a little surprised that you've left the YES/NO "please cross out as applicable" format in for a lot of the questions. You'll also have to forgive me for being confused as to how, exactly, I'm supposed to fill in certain sections when the boxes on the form are so small that not even the tiniest font size will fit inside them properly. Could it be that you've not actually tried filling the forms in on a computer yourself? Why yes, I think it probably could.

Less obtusely - the H&M Romeo and Juliet advert - http://www.hm.com/uk/start/start/index.jsp. I can't even vocalise what a turgid, shrieking, pile of advertising wank this is. And shown at cinemas - you can't even change the channel or hit mute. What makes me most angry is I am now too afraid to go and see Nightwatch just in case I see this again!

I had that before Nightwatch too! That was hands down the worst advertising I´ve seen at the movies ever. I haven´t bought anything for years at H&M, and now I´ll make sure it stays that way. I´m thinking of boycotting IKEA too, just to be safe!

Oh, and thanks for reminding me.

That ad went on for so long I actually wondered if I was at the wrong movie (this was before Serenity). The prospect of seeing it again before Night Watch or the Wallace and Gromit film is positively stomach-turning.

Fuckingbastardtwatbollocks.

My 3,000-word article, which I have slaved over all afternoon, has to be rewritten. And my date for the evening has been cancelled.

It's really not my week.

tactile defensiveness. It's not something I generally find to be worth complaining about, but the issue of how to enjoy sex with another person has come up again, and it's frustrating.

on an unrelated note, my boyfriend gave me a cool knife, which made me very happy, and then I came home and looked up the law in California concerning the carrying of a concealed weapon, and it seems that according to California law, my knife is consitered a switchblade (even though it doesn't fit the dictionary definition of a switchblade) and thus is illegal to carry at all. I might be able to modify it to make it legal, but I find this frustrating.

Neither of these things make me angry or hateful, but they both make me sad.

It makes me sad that you want to carry a knife in the first place.

Yeah, fuckbaked...despite giving you a sense of security, it makes you a lot more likely to get stabbed- remember, someone who's going to mug you probably knows more practical knife expertise than you do, and if they see a knife whilst already highly strung from threatening you, they'll most likely snap and lunge...you're better off with one of those personal alarms that sets off a really loud whining noise, because they make attackers go away and alert other people.

Not really that true. There is no masterclass for knifewielding thugs. On the other hand, someone who's going to mug you is probably going to be either strung out on drugs, strung out from lack of drugs or otherwise strung out from the emotional toll of whatever it is that is making them mug you in the first place. Either way they're likely to have a diminished sense of ethics and humanity resulting in a higher willingness to stab you.

I've got new boots I'm begining to feel like some boot related cenobite I thought I'd gone to the limits. I hadn't. The Boots gave me an experience beyond limits... pain and pleasure, indivisible. Eventhough they make a simple walk to the train a living hell they are soooo luvly.

Not so much rage as headsick. But I have a DSS Incap assessment tomorrow. er, today. I hatesssss them. It's come at an incredibly emotionally difficult time. Which is good, because I'll be hopefully an obvious basket-case and thus obviously too mentally broken to work.

Which is %great%. The desired result.

Just avoid nervous "good job I'm in such a crappo state haha" comments when you're actually there, GGM. It's akin to cracking "ho ho, only the bomb I packed earlier" jokes at airport check-in. Humour baaad.

Thankyou for the sage advice, nesh.

It'll probably be fine, this is just my yearly equivalent of the performance review/finals/worst pyschotherapist ever. I'm really stressed about it, but atm more likely to burst into tears than launch into a rib-tickling, 'i'm maaaaaadd me' routine.

And anyway, my nervous routine, which I'm hoping to avoid, is more on the repressed-stoic 'I'm completely fine. Why would you ask' end of things. Which is probably even more useful than the humorous approach.

DSS Incap assessment

What is that? If it means, they check out, if you are still able to work or not, then I have a DSS Incap assessment next week.

Fuuucking You and Yours or more specifically the Call You and Yours slot.

I've just spent twenty minutes listening to a debate on cycling in our cities. As usual, it was chock-full of people with opinions telling you nothing more than people have opinions about things they don't know much about.

Waste. of. fucking. time.

DSS Incap assessment

oh, very very rage. I suppose this is all part of what my (and your) mate dave-with-the-dog has been banging on about lately. be looking forward to this - i suspect they'll have a little tickbox on the form saying 'just well enough to work in a shite job for two weeks, to inevitably trigger a two-year decline in to evermore extreme and painful mentalism'

dave thinks that's preferable to people 'just watching trisha all day'. i think his dog's actually called 'sadist'.

good luck to everyone he might currently have it in for. hope you get the outcome you're after.

I was sick, and then I got better, after being sick for a while, and then last night I got sick again. Today I feel fine, but my skin looks grey. I thought it might just be the way the light looks or whatever, but my boyfriend agreed that my skin looks grey. wtf. why is my skin grey? sorry, I know this isn't rage-worthy, and I'm not enraged, just sad again.

and to respond to the people who responded to my post about the knife, I don't think I'd pull a knife on someone who's mugging me. I'd only try that if someone's trying to kill me or something awful like that, which I don't think is likely, but I'm rather defenseless as it is, and it's nice to know I have something, ya know? and a knife is also a good tool to have. I've been carrying a very, very small knife for about 10 years, and it comes in handy all the time. A think a larger knife would come in handy, too, for opening packages and cutting fruit and the like when I'm not at home. Well, I shouldn't cut any fruit with it. Heh.

It's fine for you to bombard me with endless press releases advertising your latest crappy products and rip-off cards, but when I ask you to contribute the teensiest bit of information to help me out with this fucking article, not one of you can be arsed to make the effort. Not making enough profit in this area, are you? Thought so.

I just found out I owe the Canadian government $11,000 in student loan repayments - that being the other, hidden, sneaky half of my student loan they didn't tell me about until now, after it's grown $1,700 in interest and a new head. I'm already paying off a loan every month. I thought everything was fine. Shackled. Fuck!

You know what? Car windshields reflect light. That would be what with them being made of glass and all. So you know what else? If you're paused in the road where I'm waiting to cross, I don't know whether you're waving me over or not. Because I CAN'T SEE YOU. So I don't know whether you're a bit late responding to the green light, and about to RUN ME OVER, or whether you're about to get all snarky with me because I don't respond to your INVISIBLE WAVE.

I hate cars and all who drive them.

Okay, most who drive them.

I HATE YOU EDITORS.

What is the fucking point of tinkering with something in EVERY SENTENCE THAT I WRITE, either (a) completely arbitrarily, so that it says the same thing but doesn't read like me any more, or (b) in order to make it UNGRAMMATICAL?

I am going to have to spend all day going through this and laboriously undoing EVERYTHING you have done. I HATE YOU.

Today is my day of rage.

I'm in my school's computer lab right now. There's a girl here who is having a loud conversation wherein she is complaining about some other girl. This other girl's crimes are: 1)bad hair 2)I guess the girl wears glasses and glasses are ugly or something? 3) the girl in question is apparently overweight, and she wears clothing that's just too damn tight.

Also, the girl here in the lab said a few minutes ago that she didn't go to School X because School X had too many Jewish people. Because her town is 'like 80% Jewish.'
