There's been a lot of talk about the lack of Zombies on the Urbandead forum. Someone contacted Kevan about it.
I sent kevan an email discussing player's concerns about the lack of zombies. whether it be from headshot, barricades, revives, Cher, whatever.
this was his response:

Interesting, I wasn't aware of this - it does seem that we're down to 4000 active zombies, compared to 15000 active survivors. This might be a headshot thing, it might be a reviv-syringe thing (it's easier to find them these days), it might be zombies becoming more frustrating to play, or it might just be a random increase in attacks on zombies.
I'll keep an eye and throw some stuff in to balance it back up.
