Oh, apparently these are new "Mark II" syringes. When you revive a dude, he'll drop to the ground and read as a dead body. This way, he won't get revived and killed off again between sessions without be able to do anything about it. Pretty cool. But it kinda foils the "use a dude as bait" strategy.

I wonder if there will still be Mark I's in circulation.

it also means that the unwillingly revived will have to expend even more AP on returning themselves to zombie status...

Goddamnit. Both of my humans are dead. They're both in West Boundwood. Help would be much appreciated.

Welp, my Level 15 Übercop now has Lab experience, a DNA extractor, and a syringe, so if you're dead in North Blythville and green skin clashes with your shoesies, let me know and I'll jack you up with happy juice and you can stop the fuck eating people.

A couple of days ago I was holed up in a PD with someone calling themselves China Mieville. Now I'm assuming the already-extant Joey Ramone isn't the real one (although in a game where death is not the end there's always room for speculation) but, roleplaying nut that Mr Mieville is, I wonder?

However- I know for a fact that Victor Kiam wasn't the real one.

I don't really like playing zombies much- has anyone else just been abandoning most of their characters when they die and starting afresh?

Pretty much. Except for one ultrazombie I've been playing just to see how the other side (un)lives. Level eight so far, she's practically a gourmet.

I think I might make my way over there if I can. Which building are you in up there?

The West Boundwood Neighbourhood watch is based at the Train Row Police Dept [34,0] and teh Purt Motel (still makes me snigger) next door at [35,0]. Both are pretty well defended.

Jake Gnosis: My Necrotech is running round trying to find syringes at the moment. If your zombies can wander about until I can get round to you, I'll PM you!

Cool, well I'm currently the zombie in the carpark outside the purt motel now, so if you have a spare syringe and some turns left, or anyone you're with can revive me that'd be awesome. I've moved from where I was because zombies were all over and I got killed by a human for the second time aswell. Either way, please tell them not to headshot the zombie in the carpark!

Just got online now, will spread the word for people not to attack you guys waiting around, but I can't guarantee it - there's so many survivors knocking about....

Currently trying to find syringes.... Hang on guys!

Cheers!

I just disappeared for a minute or two there because I just got killed again. I'm stood there again now anyway.

One of my characters is currently at the Cowie Museum if I make my way up there tomorrow any chance of a revive?

Dammit!

I've just been killed about 2 or 3 times in the last 15 minutes! I'm not sure if it's people coming out of the Motel or not, but I can't even stand up anymore because I've ran out of AP's.

I'll have to leave it for a few hours now anyway.

Sorry eon, I only got teh message out to teh people in the police Dept. I didn't have teh APs to do the same in the motel.

No probs, I can't expect people to waste all their turns saving my already-dead ass anyway.

I'm at Leaves Avenue now, I had to move after about 6 Zombies ended up in the same spot as me. I'll probably be dead again soon with only 7 HP left, but thought I'd mention it just incase. I'll stand back up again if I get killed, but it'll take an hour and a half seeing as I'm almost out of AP again.

I've still not levelled yet anyway, and keep using new characters each day. It's driving me nuts, but I think I'm too stubborn to give in until I at least level up once with 1 character.

Sigh! Another 25 APs searching and no syringe. I'm thinking of moving to another, hopefully more fruitful Necrotech building, away from all the survivors so you guys don't keep getting killed.

Anyone know of one in the surrounding vicinity/suburbs?

Eon: I think you may need to adjust your strategy. Stop standing aroudn outside. Seek cover, either in densely-populated and heavily-fortified buildings (police stations, fire stations, hospitals) or out-of-the way, otherwise useless buidlings. Don't get caught out on the street with no APs.

08:25 / 05.09.05
Yeah that's what I've done with my first character and he's still alive. With heavily barricaded buildings though I can't get my new characters in them, and when I've gone into other buildings I've been logging back in later to find that zombies have opened the doors and killed me inside. I should level up at some point though.

Hi, first post on Barbelith and I'm begging for a revival! I'm the zombie at Club Lenton in West Boundwood. Anybody still around here that can help Fireman Calatrava out?

Yep. Just need syringes. Am trying to find a new Necrotech building and will PM coordinates when I find one. It should still be around Boundwood.

I'd avoid police stations apart from a short stay. They last for a bit, but they tend to be one of the first places that large groups of zombies attack. Malls are even worse.

I found that the best place is to find a barricaded building next to a police station, hole up in there, and just pop in the police station to stock up on ammo.

Oh, I'm shambling down to Boundwood,
my skin hanging off my face,
because there's a guy with a syringe there,
who I hope will stick it in the right place.

Ahaha! Half of the whole Barbelith gang will be in Boundwood Zombified the way we're going!

After getting annoyed by my bad luck/inability to play the game very well, I'm starting to enjoy it now. I've still not passed level 1 with a character, but I'm starting to have fun with the Zombies I have, and can't wait to send one or more of them up to/down to Shearbank to join the fun.

I've just made a scout aswell, who has freerunning, and that skill is proving to be invaluable to me as I hop between buildings gathering first-aid kits and passing barricades whenever I want to. The place I'm in now has a gang of around 19 in there that I saw as I was making my way north. I was shocked when I found that being a scout (or having freerunning) enabled me to see them without even going upto the building and trying to get in, they just showed up on the gamescreen.

Also, I had a laugh earlier when I was checking the map and came across 'Bastard Street'. I can't remember where it was but I'm looking forward to finding more streets with crazy names, I'm sure there'll be a decent amount of them.

I just had a rad zombified experience.

A human I was chomping actually started running away!

It was a merry game of lag tag as we hopscotched along through the streets of Malton as he ran for his life from Heavily Barricaded to Heavily Barricaded building, stopping to catch his breath at one building only to have me with my lurching gait catch up and smash a couple of ribs with my awkward scrabbling or take a bite out of one ear. Eventually he escaped into a hospital, at which I inwardly shrugging and joined the mob hammering at the front doors.

Humans: yum.

Not one in fifteen hours searching for syringes. You search and find nothing. Gah!
Dr. G Cooper former Necrotech lackey is in Quarlesbank one suburb west of West Boundwood. Soon as I restock I'll be happy to revive anyone.

Whew! We're trying to set up a revive station in West Boundwood/Quarlesbank to cope with the amount that need reviving! The only trouble is teh necrotech building is becoming a battleground - only just managed to get away with a few HPs.

Right, so long as I don't die, can all zombies who want reviving wait at the Northville Building on the Quarlesbank/West Boundwood border [29,3] and I'll try to get round to you. I've got a syringe for Grant, as he was first in line but I can't find his zombie at the mo, so its first come first served at these coordinates.

If you wanna help with the defence of West Boundwood, head for the Necrotech Building (Haslock Building 29,1) for some action. Scientists particularly needed to help revive. I'm in there with two Zs at the mo, so any immediate assistance would go down nicely....

Otherwise, head for the HQ - Train Row Police Dept [34,0] - good for ammo, and there's at least 30 survivors in there at any one time. There's also the Motel next door that's well defended.

People are also trying to defend a club a bit further south, but I don't know exactly where.

There's an attempt at organisation here, but to be honest, I haven't a clue what they're on about half the time!

So there's a beacon for any zombie reading, but what the hell. We'll take 'em.

Lol, sorry to read that Supa, but I'm sure you'll be ok if you do go Zombie. Just post up on that clan forum and one of them should revive you in no time.
