Ooh! Dude!

Freudian Slit of the gereatest magnitude! Apologies! I though Coq was a nice name.... Kinda exotically French...

I just made a new character, Tony Ghostface. And guess what, they dropped me right next to "the Stark Building"! "This will be my home then" I said to myself. Unfortunately I forgot to check it, before moving in. No APs left and those 2 zombies look very hungry....
Stupid stupid Tony! Was it the drinking again!?

Well, I would've helped out with the reviving, but I was quickly running out of APs and had no place to scurry. Luckily I survived the night in a loosely-barricaded bank on the very top row of the map.

And, in my travels, I found a building filled with a horde of 71 zombies. Jesus.

Where's my "burn down building" option?

My lvl 12 zombie has had four people cornered in a school for about 14 hours now. I killed two of them this earlier. Checking back in now, what have they done? Chucked the bodies out and locked me inside with them.

They're rubbing marinade all over themselves as we speak, I know it.

I've properly got into the swing of this game now, I've a level 10 character, two level 8s and a level 1. The level 1 being the military medic that I created almost two weeks before the other characters. that class has serious problems

On the 9th day of playing I finally level up a human character!

I levelled my Noh Varr char aswell, but he's a zombie, and the 1 character that I started as a zombie : I logged in a little while ago to see that some dickhead called 'helpful zog' or something had revived him!

At least I'll be able to walk faster to a place full of zombies I guess. Then I can let them munch on me until I'm one of them again.

Have some pie.

Aww, shucks, cheers stoat.

Anwyay, still got some syringes and there seems to be about 4 necrotechs about now, who've got some too, so [29,3] Norcliffe building is still the waiting area for zombies.

Withiel, if you're about and you weren't brought back, let me know.

There's a rumour of 100 Zs on their way up. Hope this isn't true! Anyone seen or heard anything?

Eon: the same thing's happened to my 'career' Zombie! Gonna buy brain rot to stop it happening. But not before I get body building and check out a few strongholds. Hehehe.

Brilliant update :

'8th September 2005

A new feature for the Contacts List: If a someone on your list has died and later turns up again in a pile of bodies or crowd of zombies, you'll be able to recognise them.'

This is great. If people need reviving and get into a crowd of Zeds NT's should be able to get to them now.

Hoograaaghhyy. Finally made it to 29,3.

Bugger. Didn't read this till I had me go, squirrel. Should be round later this afternoon...

The contact list showing dead friends is very useful, althoguh I still don't think you'll be able to distinguish them from a group of Zs.

Which reminds me, I haven't put anyone on my contacts yet...

29,3 is way up woop woop for me. If anyone is closer to North Blythville, I'm still doing my rounds, probably gonna get some more syringes.
Had a chance to compare effects of Mk 1 and Mk 2 syringe- Mk 2 faw down go boom, Mk 1 stand there go "Buh?".
Funny conversation on the registers the other day, with my workmate begging me for syringes, me going "Yeah, I'll hook you up.". Got some funny looks from the sheeple, but they think I'm The Debbil anyway.

Victor Kiam finally got his Free Running... o more being locked out in the cold for a while!

Unless the building's well barricaded. I suggest running into a church if that happens- they're always open, and you can freerun to other buildings from there.

Must heal the wounded now. Must extract DNA.

When zombies have that scent trail thing, how far can they follow?

Triplets
21:52 / 09.09.05
I've been told 4 blocks in either direction. I've got Scent Trail but, due to either immeadiately killing or having people not run away (zombiefoodishists), cannot confirm.

Hmm. That's annoying. It seems you lose free running when you die and come back. Nearly cost me a night in the cold, that.

Anyone near [94, 64] (the Owsley Building)? Few Humes boarded up tight.

Cube, that might be a bug. No reason you should lose your skills when you snuff it. Have you tried checking the unofficial boards about it?

lekvar
00:46 / 10.09.05
The skill loss is a bug. It got me too (lost all goddamned combat skills) It is mentioned in the news on Sept. 3rd.

"It looks like the NecroTech helicopters were spraying something they hadn't told the military about, or leaking it... a few revivified survivors will notice darker patches of cortex having healed up, a few zombies will have forgotten some distant life skills. (This was a bug rather than a feature; the effect is permanent, but won't happen again.)"

Emphasis mine.

Arghh!

I just tried to get back into Train Row and it was heavily barricaded! Now I'm stuck outside the club next door, why are people barricading to that level?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

How're your XPs, eon? You need to get Free Running as a matter of urgency.

---
05:27 / 10.09.05
I just levelled and got pistol training. Can you get into a heavily barricaded building with freerunning though? I know you can get into very strongly barricaded, but I'm not sure about heavily.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
05:34 / 10.09.05
If you get into an adjacent building you can hop into it. Barricades only work at street level afaik.

Great tactic- barricade zombies INTO buildings. Then use freerunning to pick them off one by one and collect mucho XPs.

---
05:57 / 10.09.05
Ahh right, I think I get it now.

Yeah you're probably right about the freerunning then, I'll probably get it next time I level. That's a cool tip with the Zombies and barricades aswell, I'd be laughing like mad if I pulled that off, hopefully I'll get to try it sometime.

Stumbled purely at random into a safehouse a couple of days ago where it was working out just fine... I feel like a redneck in a Romero movie.

Phew, back in at last.

I spent not much short of 7 hours out there, and only lost 6HP in the end, so I was lucky.

Triplets
13:04 / 10.09.05
Stoatie, that only works if the zombies are dumb, I'm afraid. If they hit 'Leave Building' button they can't exit, but they can if they just click an adjacent street or building!

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

Ah. I wondered how four had gone but there weren't four extra bodies. Still, the dumb ones make fer good shootin'!

Beware: PKs aplenty in Shearbank, around the Stickling Mall. PlayDaddy, my level 12 Necrotech employee just got deaded by Tom Cruise, among others.

That fucker. I hated him in Minority Report.

Shore Hills has been fairly overrun in the last hour or so... Wheelie Godbaby's looking for a revive, if anyone's got a syringe. Will travel.

Just killed my first human. Had to explain rather strenuously, and at length, with various aids for illustration, why it is a BAD idea to attack a level 18 when you are a level ONE. I'm sure the 4 XP he got from his hit-and-run act is a great consolation to him in his new career as a shambling mound of putrifying flesh.
In fact, I might just revive him and kill him all over again.
