Any zombies that need revivifying, I'll be in the Nix Building [40, 43] in Barrville for a while. Serious zombies only. No biting, please.

You look like hell, lekvar. Use this tenderiser.

...Moisturiser.

So while I wasn't paying attention, one of my zombies (Corpse Monkey... imagine a gorilla of death! And yes, I know they're apes, or whatever) got beat up, revivified, and then killed again. Yippee!

Where's the Police Station du jour? Rawkins Row is not immediately dangerous, but I'm exploring other options.

Just went on a killing spree. Having advanced pistol and shotgun training adds to the game immensely.

I finally hit a zombie with a flare! Twice! In a row!

Arharhar. New character, Private Iosaiph, is doing rather well with all teh pistol skills. Fear me, North Blytheville. Also, it's getting difficult to find zombies to use for target practice, which makes a refreshing difference from East Boundwood, anyway. The game really does ramp up once you've got one level of skills: I was able to upgrade my pistol skill in the session after I originally bought it, whereas it took me about a week to get the initial 75XP by hitting Zeds and running away. I wonder how much the unusual experience ramp is intended to be reflective of how survivors of a zombie apocalypse would actually react (ie: initial shock, and then quick adaptation once the situation's sunk in)?

One thing I've noticed is that new pistols are coming with only 5 rounds in them. Is this a signal that resources are getting scarce? Anyway, you're right. Once you level up it gets so much easier to do it again. I can definitely recommend free running as your second or third skill (nothing better than having a safe-ish haven next to a copsho, popping over, tooling up and zombie killing then going back. Saves a lot of APs.

I think the number of rounds in found weapons is also random - i found a pistol with 6 rounds in it last night, and very welcome it was too...

Just saw my first proper bit of UD arsery. In Judgewood at the Bretnall Grove PD it looks like a bunch of cunts are creating tons (ie, more than 20) of dummy lvl 1 accounts to Zerg-rush the building and break down the barricades then they move their zombies in for a feast. Keep an eye out for anyone with Cpl or Pvt at the front of their name.

That or the success of the safehouses is outside the expectations of the Necrotech-Military conspiracy and they're now using their substantial resources to attempt to covertly break us down so that the experiment can proceed to its next phase.

Lekvar, I'm outside the Nix building now, if you're still in there, could you please pop out and give me a shot. I seem to have this nasty rash...

Uh..I mean "Mrh?".

Lekvar (or anyone with mad revivifying skillz), I hate to impose, but I have this awful hunger...

Ted Williams was betrayed by his fellow survivors and is now standing in Goverd Park. I put a lot of time into this character, so I've loathe to leave him zombied and start a new one.

If you shamble your way over to the Halse Crescent Police Dept in Darvall Heights I think something could be arranged.

No problem, I'm ready to revive you now. The place has a pretty high undead population so just post or pm me at a suitable time so you won't be re-zombified.

Where's that going down? I do not want to be anywhere near that again. My last character got chomped by a mob of 40 of the bastards and that was bad enough. Also, I can't find any more pistol ammo in the police station that's my safehouse...this is not looking good.

That's happening up in the Heights. I guess it was only a matter of time until something awful happened in Malton.

Oh dear. But, as Haus said at the beginning if Kevan is running this more as a game design test-bed to see what happens from the foundation up, this is just one of those things, right?

My brute force solution would be to temporarily ban registration, delete all level 1 accounts and institute a confirm by e-mail policy for all new characters.

Still, I did think the game was getting a little boring

Holy poo!

Probably some dumbass filling a place up with a million accounts so's he can try to overrun somebody, but... well, you only get 160 hits a day...

There is an easy way round that - connecting to the via a modem give you a dynamic IP address, something that effectively obviates the 160 rule...

Shoulder Bug- still alive? If so, I'll shamble into your neighborhood.

What's the most efficient way to level up a Necrotech?

Tag zombies with your DNA Extractor. It gives you 4 XP for every zombie that hasn't been tagged that day (or that doesn't have Brain Rot). The trick is to wait till the clock turns over (midnight GMT) and go on a DNA-tag-fest.

Yep still plodding along with a revivification syringe to hand Jake but IRL I have a searingly painful headache so am logging off for today. PM me with your location tomorrow or post in it in this thread and I'll alleviate your unfortunate case of undeadness with some ZombieBeGone.

Raines Hills, outside Donegan Bank. I'm the lone zombie, so far. Do I have to have someone happen by and kill me, or can you revive the walking dead?

You can't revive dead bodies; only shambling zombies.

After spending his first few days ingame hidden in an increasingly paranoid (and possibly zerg-infested safehouse), Voctor Kiam has finally killed his first zombie!

That's VIctor Kiam, obviously.

So... are this whole bunch of PFCs, LTs and CPLs all PK bastards? Or is the paranoia out of control? I think I;d rather take my chances with The Many...

Haus: Indeed - bit of a pain in the tits, really. I got PKed by the gitmass in Judgewood - any Necrotechs nearby?

George Cooper, erstwhile Necrotech employee, is currently in Quarlesbank which is one suburb north east of you. He's out of syringes but I'll happily spend tomorrow searching if no-one else has offered to help you.

(I've got this horrible feeling that erstwhile doesn't mean what I think it does.)

You would've probably been better off with... "earnest."

Bought it in Judgewood, and now a zombie hunter's robbed all my exp. Any techs in the area?
