I believe that's bound to happen. what we don't know is wether it was orchestrated from the get go or Millar thought a change in the American zeitgeist gave him the window to reflct that in the comic.
on a not so recent interview he said there should be more comics aimed at a Conservative crowd. either he was showing his best [?] hype-face to the press or that fell flat as more and more media outlets - talk shows, even - changed their take on Busheney's Administration...
Cap has already expressed his disapointment with the America he's awoken to.
yeah, but talking about Cap, we'll never forget "this A doesn't stand for France"... or something. an opposite to that was beautifully executed by Brubaker/Lark in the usual Cap comic some months ago, with him recalling fighting for Paris side by side the French troops.
and come to think of it, who is the Ultimates' traitor that contacted Pym? it WAS Rogers, right? Millar might have wanted to build up on changing Cap, so maybe Fury got him for the wrong reasons, but... |
