Interesting to hear Dermot on BB Efourum assessing the ex-housemates who appeared on his show. He said something along of the lines of, in all apparent seriousness, that Ahmed had been very entertaining and positively eulogised Victor's ability to laugh at himself and perform on request.
Within the context of BBLB, Victor was extremely willing to laugh at himself - witness the whole "world's most rubbish gangster" skit, or the scene with him answering his phone: "This is the Slickman, rapper slash part-time hitman... Oh hello Mum..." Equally, Ahmed's weirdness was of a more carefree kind than it had been while inside, possibly, as some have suggested, because he was under the illusion that the nation was gripped by Ahmania. Compare this to Michelle, who has seemed very stiff and "no comment" on BBLB. Yes, Vic and Ahmed's personalities manifested in ways that were a lot less funny and more nasty and even threatening while they were inside the house, but Dermot is a very forgiving young man. 'Young' being the operative word: he is lovely but like a child, and he values playmates. |
