... the fact that it was leaked a few weeks before the end of the series that should he win all money would go to helping a poor (possibly) terminally ill little girl back in Liverpool.

Perhaps Jayboy's leaked the fact that he's planning to donate all his winnings to a poor little orphan kitten with big, big eyes, and possibly-terminal cancer of the head. Voiced by Antonio Banderas.

Was it leaked? I don't remember that being the case.

I definitely heard about it before BB1 finished and Craig won. It must have been leaked and strengthened his comprehensive-school-boy-jack-of-all-trades-everyman persona vs Nick-the-evil-city-boy. Did well really.

BB party tonight. A shot of rum everytime someone says "big brother". yummy.

I thought Jason's reaction to BB playing 'You've Got The Love' was oddly endearing. Constat rhapsodising ("Oh, god. Oh god, this is top five. Top five!") and standing there swaying with his eyes closed like he was stoned... for a second there, I almost liked him.

Watching BBLB last night - it seems that Jason has got the Hamilton Asda shoppers' bloc vote sewn up.

I think that there probably is a regional element to voting, though quite how far that goes is another matter. They often take cameras around to contestants' home towns (as they did for BBLB last night) to show the pro-Such-and-Such bunting and people going apeshit for their local BB hero. I seem to recall in past series gaining the impression that the whole of Wales was rooting for Helen and the whole of Ireland for that chap who popped a boner in his shorts. In my own case, as a Brummie in exile, I did have a soft spot for Caggie, PJ and, to a lesser extent, Steph. Still, I'll admit that my main impression is based on a couple of minutes of no doubt selectively edited tv interviews.

Interesting to hear Dermot on BB Efourum assessing the ex-housemates who appeared on his show. He said something along of the lines of, in all apparent seriousness, that Ahmed had been very entertaining and positively eulogised Victor's ability to laugh at himself and perform on request.

Within the context of BBLB, Victor was extremely willing to laugh at himself - witness the whole "world's most rubbish gangster" skit, or the scene with him answering his phone: "This is the Slickman, rapper slash part-time hitman... Oh hello Mum..." Equally, Ahmed's weirdness was of a more carefree kind than it had been while inside, possibly, as some have suggested, because he was under the illusion that the nation was gripped by Ahmania. Compare this to Michelle, who has seemed very stiff and "no comment" on BBLB. Yes, Vic and Ahmed's personalities manifested in ways that were a lot less funny and more nasty and even threatening while they were inside the house, but Dermot is a very forgiving young man. 'Young' being the operative word: he is lovely but like a child, and he values playmates.

Okay, maybe "leaked" was the wrong word to use. Just remember the tabloids running the story sometime before the last week of BB1.

(doing my bit to get to the 50 page mark tto)

With regard to BBLB, I couldn't help wondering whether both Victor and Ahmed responded positively to Dermot because he's clearly an Alpha Male (physically impressive, well-paid job, 'famous', straight, and probably also gets to make the sex with the pretty laydeeez) - and, within the house, neither Vic nor Arsehead had particular problems doing what they were told by Alpha Males. If they'd been invited to 'laugh at themselves' by a female presenter or, God forbid, a poof, do we reckon they'd be the same self-deprecating laughs-aplenty funmeisters?

...he is lovely but like a child, and he values playmates.

On a serious note, he also frowns upon inappropriate comments about Nadia's sex.

For that he has my respect.

By the way, was anyone else moved by Nadia'a tears? I bloody welled up.

blooJay, cocka'vote as he is does have endearing qualities that suggest the votes for him aren't just defaulting anti other - he states recently that "no one in here is an actual bad person, just not my kind of person", and regarding relationships, actually takes dan to task on his professed lasting batchelordom, along the lines of "tis the best thing to have that person to wake up next to"

And as for the scots vote, theres only a 10th of the whole country here, wouldnt make that much of an impact.

Yeah.

Make sure you know where the mute switch on the remote is, though.

While it's going to say something good about British society when Nadia wins, I'd still rather listen to a pig being slaughtered than the acceptance speech. And I say this as a vegetarian.

I think the Spambot's insecurity's coming out more and more, his obvious surprise as he stays in, and that's not unendearing. Also seemed quite heartfelt when he had that discussion with Shell about the parents they'd never met, and whether they'd be watching them now.

Hoping he comes third, though.

Nice that Shell didn't get booed much. She still looked quite freaked, though.

Yup. I know someone who knows one of his ex-girlfriends, and apparently he's very good in bed. Fact.

TBH, Dan's eviction didn't surprise me (meaning: I thought he'd go). He was merely the most popular of the apopular.

Surprise upon surprise this year. Jason makes it to the final two. It's getting to the point where there is a tiny bit of me that can actually see Jason winning it, fuck that would be the biggest turn around in history.

not apologising for the forker, but Hamilton folks, really aint a small town - largest in the central belt, and 20 mins from weegietoon, so small town boy aint buying it, and as one is V, patronising, still hope nads wins mind, just for the good it would do her, 'cos spams second coming will do him good now too, even minding his boos...

It's interesting that Jaylord and Nadia are the last two. Dan drew quite insightful parallels between them: both individuals who've invested a great deal, psychologically, in their physical appearance, but don't actually like themselves very much, and are actually pretty insecure. In a way, it's quite nice that they're the last two - as long as Nadia wins.

I've got a nasty feeling that it's all going to go horribly wrong at the last. Text messages of support for Spambo (Jay is da man!!! Es bin honest 2 imself from da start!!!) seemed to outnumber those for Nadia (Nads 2 win!! Luv ya girl!!!!) on the late night show.

Hold me.

not claiming its a virtue bud, but it's better than "being better lookin than X", or being "Tragic vote hereward!", plus peeps who do what they will, as they both transparently have, always get ++points :-)
