Indeed. There's almost a Robert Crumb-ishness about that first one.

Those are fanastic! Really nice work.

They reminded me of Tank Girl era Jamie Hewlett. Maybe that's just the little monkey in the first picture.

Wow. Thanks. All of you.

And those are some pretty flattering comparisons, I'm not really sure what to say.

Those are absolutely wonderful, Meludreen - the first one reminds me a bit of D'Israeli in the best of ways, and the owl in the second one is pure brilliance, as is Jenny's expression.

It looked a bit Chinese to me -- like a contemporary illustration of a folk tale (not that I had a specific one in mind).

By kind permisson of wonderful scriptwriting grant, I humbly present a three-page preview of "Jenny Everywhere in 'By The Book'"

I'd like to see Meludreen take a stab at another of grant's scripts... the one with the the giant all consuming Paramecium...

Oooh Withiel, those are really nice! Can't seem to get the third one to work though. I'm impressed at the speed you've managed to do them with too. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Regarding sleaze's suggestion: I've been feeling around doing my own story (nothing to do with either picture I posted earlier) which has got to one almost finished page, buuuuut...... I'm willing to put that on hold. I think that producing artwork for somebody else could be a good experience. Having somebody's expectations on me might give me a boot up the arse too.

grant, I'm game if you are. PM me if you're interested and I'll give you contact details for sending the script. Perhaps Withiel and I can finally make your dreams come true (wink wink).

If the third link doesn't work for you, replace the number in the second link's filename (jenny2small.gif) with a 3 and it should show up.

Tried that, but no luck. Does it work for everyone else?

I can't get any of them to work...

You already know my opinion on this Keggers. Crack on!

These are all really lovely. I'm constantly impressed by the amount of talented artists on the board.

Moderator request: There's been a spate of huge images recently in this thread which I have moderated to a width of 500 in order to keep the thread unbroken. Can I ask that images posted directly in the thread are kept to a maximum width of 500 and if they need to be bigger (so that text can be read or whatever) then can you post them as links?

Thanks. It's just neater and all that...

I've also had a sneak preview of a Flyboy/Lentil collaboration that's upcoming and I think it's enough to say that I had to change my underpants.

Grant and Withiel- Those pages look great. I love the statute as an interdimensional door and I love the monkey. Can’t wait to see the rest of this.

Keggers- You must spin this into a story! I’ve got you see your Jenny in action. Such a cool design.

Sax- I also got a preview of the Fly and Lentil strip and it’s fantastic. MC is really toping himself with the layouts.

Ok, I'm going to be illustarting grant's strip for the foreseeable future.

However... Is anybody interested in the idea of collaborating on a Jenny graphic adventure computer game using adventure game studio?

I've dabbled with this program before and it's very easy to use. I'd love to work with whoever's interested in this.

Meludreen, which of grant's scripts are you going to be drawing?

grant
15:48 / 07.05.05
Withiel went with the Bible one, so Meludreen got the giant germ/mushroom one... although I'm still up for jamming for story ideas with the Chinesey illo last page (and am currently jamming with a third party with a story involving whales).

*bump* this thread inspired me to get back to my Jenny story...currently in the middle of page 5 of 8. Hopefully this will be done before 2006... I should set myself a deadline of something like September 1, 2005.

Hey, gang.

I took the 24-hour comic challenge again, and this year I succeeded with a 24-page Jenny story, of which the panel above is taken.

As the night wore on, Jenny became more large. The only thing that kept me going was my attempt to out-fat Nelson.

"Out-fat" is a brilliant construction, and needs to be used more often. Furthermore, the illustration looks brilliant - is there any chance we could see the rest of it? Perhaps if we asked very nicely?

Would love to see the rest of your 24-hour comic, please.

How does one go about getting these things on the jennyeverywhere.com site nowadays?

Tamayyurt
16:30 / 06.06.05
I think Moriarty is in charge of the site now, so getting in contact with him would probably be best. Although, there hasn’t been an update to the site since last year so I don’t know…

grant
18:44 / 06.06.05
Hmm. I tried writing him with the address under his profile but no reply yet.

I gather Moriarty's had trouble delegating site maintenance to the right webmaster/mistress.

A Thing of Vague Interest: I just revisited DFHT 2 and slapped a greyscale sheen on the dear little thing. It's now unapologetically tonal and (I think) all the better for it.

'Tis here.

Withiel: DALI'S ROTTWEILER

That's possibly the most graphically energetic thing I've seen in a long time.
