thanks FinderWolf. i maintain that everything could, at any given moment, crumble into disco abandon.

heya matsaya, so you were one of the two people who purchased it at sticky?! rad. muchos gracias. love to see your jenny materialise... je doesn't work on humanoid time, probably morelike glacial time.. so no hurry m'dear.

is anyone currently working jenny nowhere? what's the happs?

Yeah, Fly had a kind of "Jenny Epic" planned around Jenny Nowhere, as hinted at the end of Damn Fine Hostile Takeover. It sounded great, and I'd still love it to happen one day, but I'm all too aware of how much time and work goes into producing each page of this stuff. It was all so easy before I had a sodding career.

One humungously well paid ad job is what's needed, then I can take the rest of the year off and draw comics.

BTW, we should be petitioning/harrassing Fly and Lentil to finish the latest take on Right-On Jenny and co, "Dance Off 2005/6". It's ground to a halt by all accounts. Damn shame, the previews were delicious. There's a pic of Lentil's Jen and Lex on his site, as it happens; look in "Illustration", third gallery. 'Tis a beaut!

Nelson: The pic is amazing. I've heard about the title for a bit now and I can't wait to see it.

For everyone that's interested there are some pages at:
Scott Wegener's site.

I haven't heard of a publisher for it, but I'm still excited.

Also, time to plug a personal thing:

Infinity Apartment - Starring Jenny Everywhere.

It's a little webcomic I've started.

BjCCreations

Check it out.

Wow - all the new stuff is great. Scott Wegener's stuff, BJ's Infinite Apt. (laughed a lot at the breakup w/robot) and Lentil's bonus material/new page! Great work. Jenny is alive and thriving again!!!

Is queergranny down or am I just being a goon?

I'm updating my bookmarks for my new computer and it seems to have dissapeared.

Hey Ben,

just had a flip through Inf Apart 1-25. my heart goes out to you in your creative crisis, bud. I had a go at webcomics a while back and felt like I was pedalling against the wind a lot. eventually knocked it on the head.

do I have any advice? um - find a schedule frequency that works in step with the rest of your life... try plotting stuff out well in advance (works really well for long story arcs)... be nice to people who try to teach you to suck eggs.

I was amused at the 'i'm not an illustrator' comment, though. the visuals of this strip are great.

Thanks for the kind words, matsya. They mean a lot.

I'm working through it as best I can.

Is the Jenny Site/queergranny site still having problems?

I am officially and publicly setting myself a deadline for January 15, 2006, if not earlier, to finish my 8-page Jenny story that Alex Thoth wrote. (My Jenny is somewhat thin in the story, as I started drawing it approx. 3 years ago - sad but true! It's not that I'm a slow artist in terms of actual speed but that I'm just doing it in bits of spare time when I'm in the mood to draw, each page seems to take about 7 hours from beginning to end. I began drawing it (had done 3 pages and laid the whole story out) just before the 'Jenny's weight/body type' discussions began, so be forewarned.) All I have left is to ink the final page (it's already pencilled and lettered). Page 3, an amalgam of me drawing in the styles of many different Jenny Ev. artists, is posted somewhere a few pages ago on this thread.

Is there someone who can add stories to the Jenny site? Cause I've got a new story that will be ready within the next few days. (8 pages total)

'Not sure where the site's at, FinderWolf... I'll drop moriarty a line and ask. Have you got anywhere you can host it in the meantime?

FinderWolf
20:15 / 09.01.07
Hmmm....right now, no. The writer's site is down and unaccessible for the moment...I'll start looking around for other places to host it, though.

Nelson Evergreen

I'd be happy to host it on mine for a while, if you like.

Alright everyone, I've got a few Jenny Everywhere stories ready that I'd like to get drawn and out there...But I need some artists!

Anyone interested? PM me.

>> The comic in question is an original self contained JE story, about 22 pages or so; my composite contribution was just a doff of the cap to a few favourite stories (shame I couldn't squeeze in Mrs Zirma or MBV, bah). The writer plans for it to be ongoing, which is heartening. I'll let y'all know about availability when it appears.

Very much looking forward to this - what's the status on it?

I just re-read "Mrs. Zirma" - always been one of my favorite Jenny stories. What's that writer/artist/Barbelither up to these days? Damn fine story there.

OK, so my Jenny story is FINALLY done (written by Alex Toth) and Nelson has generously offered to host on his site for a while. I'm getting it scanned and emailig it to Nelson Sunday nite (tomorrow nite, that is). 8 pages - Jenny Everywhere in "Say The Word."

It's a pleasure to host it, Alex. If anything it's raising the tone... I may never let it leave, bwah HA HA etc.

Lovely work, both of you.

moriarty's been in touch, by the way... I've sent him links to the Jenny stories currently unrepresented on the 'official' site so he can get some html-savvy soul to perform a hefty update.

Said stories are "Say The Word", "The Freak Issue", "By The Book" and "Vs Hell (pt 1)"... have I missed anything...?

I'd like to send him a link to "Infinity Apartment" too, but it seems to have disappeared. Has it been discontinued, Ben?

Ben Christensen
16:08 / 21.01.07
Yeah, I kind of wrote myself into about five different corners with that one. It was a hard choice, but I decided to let the comic go.

I've got a new comic going, but as of right now, no Jenny in it.

Thanks for the update, Nelson...I don't remember seeing "Vs. Hell Pt. 1" or "By the Book" - maybe I've seen them and don't recall; I'll check 'em out when they get put up on the main site. I bet I've seen at least one of 'em and just am not remembering.

A friend recently mistakenly called Jenny Everywhere "Jenny Elsewhere," which made me laugh and sounded very British to me. So there's an open-source idea for some creative team out there - the Brit version [said in very proper English pronounciation and Royal Shakespeare Company tone:] "Jenny Elsewhere."

I just found Withiel's two stories as I went through this thread.... good to revisit 'em again!

And Bambling Flesh, how's yours coming along? There were a few other Jenny stories too that seemed to be in various staged of completion (one of which included the brilliant use of her "fabled scarf," as Nelson put it, as a catapult/slingshot)...

I love this character.

I did this up today and I think it turned out rather nice. I was trying to push myself within Illustrator to see how far I could take the style.

I've been working up some self-contained comic ideas that I'll produce as I find the time.

So, the site's dead and moriarty's devoutly incommunicado.

I had an email from someone looking to - if unable to get it back online - gather all the missing work from the writers/artists responsible, and build and maintain a new one. (Here's his take on Jenny btw: http://fesworks.xepher.net/JENNY/001.htm )

I'd imagine this thread's no longer being read by good chunks of the "alumni", so I'll do the rounds by pm in a few days to see if folk want their stuff resurrected.

I give full permission (at least my half, since Alex Thoth wrote our story) to keep our piece alive on whatever site works out. We need more new Jenny material stuff, and we should totally keep an archive/site with all the previous Jenny stuff if the creators ok it.
