I loved last night's episode. The only problem I had with it were the matrixesque effects. They were unnecessary.

The only thing I didnt like about last night's episode was...um..wow..for once there wasnt anything I didnt like about it. I actually liked the matrix-esque fx. And the whole Wesley scenes were just great. I hope he joins WRandH and tries to bring them down form the inside but they end up corrupting him and making him and uberbaddie.

Trijhaos
15:21 / 07.05.02
No...no...Please don't make Wesley a baddie. He should become a free agent, yes, but if he becomes a baddie, then he'll have to be killed.

Ok, I'll admit the matrix-esque effects were nicely done in some areas, but they were over used.

Now, I'm off to find pictures of that blue-haired woman.

Why would Wesley want to join WR&H? Yes, he's basically a Judas already, but he could perhaps eventually be forgiven for what he did. If he joins WR&H, he'll never have that chance for redemption.

I'm really not looking forward to Tara dying. I like Tara, she's the only one of them with any sense, now she's dead they might as well all kill themselves cos dammit they're going to have no chance of living good lives. Who's going to save them from themselves.

As for Tara being boring- that's the fault of the people who make the show - everytime they had a chance to do something interesting with her character they copped out.

Spike!!! Spike is going to be the voice of reason.

I mean you can't expect the others to actually be able to keep their heads on straight? I mean look at them

Buffy has intimacy issues, Dawn is a kleptomaniac, Xander's just a goofball, Anyanka is all demonic now, and Willow's gonna get all evil.

Is Tara really boring? damn, I must just have a crush on her because I'm always excited to see her....

I didn't think Tara was boring. She was the voice of reason. Oh sure, she was Willow Lite, but dammit I liked her.

That's it?

That's fucking it?

I can't believe it. Tara's death is a horrible joke.

*takes deep calming breaths*

Alright, I've had time to analyze the situation and now that I think about it, the accidental nature of Tara's death makes it far more powerful than if she had been killed by a demon, vampire, or big nasty ugly from another dimension.

Heh heh heh....

I have read spoilers and the ending episodes of Buffy are going to be cool.

And so far, everyone is right, but they are wrong as well.

I know...I was so tired of the people who said, "Spike and Buffy are a great couple," when it was painfully obvious to me that it was a bad relationship all the way around. Buffy seems to get a lot of bad relationships in the show.

Besides, as much as I like Spike's character, it is time for he and Buffy to have it out once and for all. While he's not cute and weepy anymore, he's still not the pure insane evil he used to be. I think it's time for THAT aspect to come back.

And...is it just me or did it make Buffy seem a lot less powerful? Here she is, the Slayer, saves the world once a year or so, and she was just as vulnerable as anyone else to a crazy ex?

On the plus side, I don't think of this season so much as a waste as I did two months ago. I don't think they needed the whole season for these storylines, but it does seem to be building up to something finally.

I still like Spike. That rape attempt was the act of a desperate man.

You know, I was one of those people who looooved the "good" Spike but there was a bit early in the sason when he thought his chip was off and the first thing he did was try and kill some random girl. Ever since then I was just waiting for the bastard to slip up. Spike is such a great character ::sigh::

That said, I found it really hard to watch the rape scene.

When Tara and Willow walked into the bathroom when Xander and Buffy were there, I thought they might get the wrong idea, you know. I mean, here's Xander with a bloody nose and Buffy's on the ground.

I just saw the preview again last night, and the demon in the sky looks a great deal like the demon from the 4th(?) season's episode when Willow casts a spell and everything she says comes true.

I like Spike. I could care less if he's good Spike or evil Spike. He's a great character.

Apparently Buffy's weakness was due to that injury at the beginning of the episode. MAN was that episode tricky. Anyone else think that the Scoob was going to get shot at the very beginning? Soo sneaky..

"Where's Buffy while we're all standing around in front of open windows with NO OTHER SOURCE AUDIO?"

And then Buffy kicks the Nerdses door open and I shit my pants.

"Willow, your shirt."

I hadn't even HEARD that!

R.I.P. Tara.
Pour out some Incense and Sage for our dead homie.
Benjamin.

You know, I liked Warren using the gun. It goes to show just how dangerous an evil mind really is. He's a geek and underestimated. But I think in a way he could prove far more dangerous than a rampaging demon. I think the last episode proved that.

Poor Tara. You should have known it was coming with all the cuddly cuteness.

I wonder if Willow will become a vengence demon? She does have an outstanding job offer, and a tasisman... I can't wait to see her rampage. FINALLY! SOME ACTION THIS SEASON!

Trijhaos
18:31 / 09.05.02
Willow as vengeance demon? I think one vengeance demon is enough. Although, Anya really isn't doing a very good job, is she?

I think she's just going to go completely nuts.

I think what the one geek, whatshisname, the little leprechaun dude, did was pretty courageous.

The gun was completely unexpected. Throughout most of the season, these three geeks have been setup as complete screwups. Then, we've got Warren getting drunk on power, murdering his ex-girlfriend, grabbing those balls and then getting his ass handed to him by Buffy.

I don't think Willow's going to be a vengeance demon because a VD can't wreak vengeance on its own behalf.

ooohhhh VD = Vengence Deamon, through me off for a sec there...

Warren killed his Ex? musta missed that one.

I think the fact that xander went after him in the bar proves his worth to the show, He is the one guy with really nothing going for him but pure balls, and i like that, reminds me of the superman/batman debate we used to have weekly...

Yeah, can't remember the episode, but the geeks figured out how to dominate another person's will, or something to that effect. Its the episode where Buffy thinks she killed a human.

You know Warren tries to rape his ex-girlfriend and the hypnosis or whatever wears off, she runs up the steps and one of the guys causes her to fall and break her neck.

The best part of that had to be whats his name's attempt to escape the rocketpack. Sooo unexpected. ROTFLMAO!!!!
I hope Willow goes to England hunting for Giles. I dotn know why she would but it would be really great to see him back in the show and see some of the skill he has being put to use instead of just being hinted at...

Was it just me, or were the last couple of episodes of Buffy harsh on the girls bordering on mysogynistic? Buffy nearly gets raped, Tara gets shot, and Anya was portrayed pretty unsympathetically, I thought. Perhaps it's just the standard action-packing that goes into the end of any season, but with the addition of Warren's serious issues with the ladies and in particular Buffy, the past couple episodes have given off kind of a female-hostile vibe. Or am I just reading too much into my entertainment?

Trijhaos
23:57 / 11.05.02
Actually it has seemed fairly female hostile. Of course, you've kind of got to expect that what with most of the cast being female. Who are our male heroes? Xander and Spike. What happens to them. Xander? Well, the girls, except Anya, are all "Oh it'll be ok, she'll understand". And Spike? The worst thing that happens to him is Buffy rebuffs his advances. But, even so, its been pretty harsh on the female cast members. Well, except for maybe Dawn.

Christ, why couldn't it have been Dawn? Oh why?

Trijhaos
02:43 / 12.05.02
I don't know. Dawn is a pretty worthless character. Nothing's been done with her. She was an important part of the plot last season what with being they key and all, but now she's stuck in the bratty little sister role.

I don't think there would have been as much of as an emotional impact on either the characters or the fans. I'm not sure what the characters would have done, but most of the fans would probably have just shrugged their shoulders and said "She deserved it" and went about their happy little lives. Tara's death, on the other hand, gets the fans all riled up. It also gives Willow an excuse to go all evil.

Christ, why couldn't it have been Dawn? Oh why?

A-motherfuckin'-men. Although I do see Trijhaos' point- I wouldn't shed a tear for her.

The best part of that had to be whats his name's attempt to escape the rocketpack. Sooo unexpected. ROTFLMAO!!!!

Do you know, I honestly can't remember this guy's name. And neither can any of my meatspace friends (although I'm sure there's a Buffyfreak on here who could help me out).

Dawn's really gone the way of Jake Sisko, ie: disappeared, outside of each episode's obligatory Avery Brooks head kissing scene, replaced in this series with what almost seems to be stock footage of Buffy hamfistedly trying to relate but still obviously not giving much of a shit. It's virtually like watching Battlestar Galactica space battles.

Trijhaos
11:53 / 12.05.02
Just get rid of Dawn. Go rewrite history or something. She's served her purpose. Go away now. Shoo! We don't want you no more.

Andrew is the one who's escape was screwed up by the ceiling.

Trij: is your PC rigged to an alarm that sounds whenever anyone responds to these topics?

No, I just see that this thread has popped back up to the top, I check to see who's written what, and I usually end up replying.

Although, an alarm for that would be interesting.

You too? Nifty! I thought that only happened to me. Maybe its like that Slayer sense Buffy supposedly has. Yeah, that's it.
