I'm still recovering from the post-demo celebrations.
Numbers were down in London- probably about 300 people, largely I imagine due to exams and the fucking awful weather. I think a lot of the message got out, though, and many lulz were had. Even when it started hailing (which ended up being a lot more like 300 than anyone would have wanted as everyone hid under their placards).
There was a guy taking photos at the pub we went to for "lunch", and although the barmaid was quick to reassure us that it was a very historic pub and he was probably taking photos of it rather than us, we kept our masks on while indoors anyway).
Then in the evening there were a couple of ex-$cilons who supported us and were talking to people outside another pub, so I think the message was being heard.
And Anonymous is now a "secret internet-based organisation, according to the Observer.
So lower turnout or not, it was still pretty much awesome. |
