The tabloid "revelations" about Pete may conceivably damage sections of his fanbase (well, probably not actually damage them personally, but you know what I mean). (The "shocking" picture of him getting his dick sucked by *gasp* a MAN IN A DRESS!!! for example).

I wonder. I mean it's not just 'Stuart and Michelle' unwatchable, is it? It's really very dark and upsetting stuff. What's Pete's estranged Dad going to make of all this if Pete wins? And how's he going to feel if the boy lets him down? As a narrative, it seems too nightmarish to buy into - Pete's not someone the GBP would vote against, I suppose, but actually voting in favour might seem a bit, well, icky.
