Nikki, please stop performing all the time! It's really tiresome.

"Tiresome" isn't the half of it. That was FUCKING SCARY.

also, I'm fascinated by the fact that Big-Brother-Night-o-Vision turns all the dark clothes and bedclothes light. Can someone who knows kung fu (or physics, perhaps) explain this to me please?

20:51 / 14.08.06
you're right, that was almost Lea/Craig-y. "You're so special/I love you/I'm the only one who understands".

I'm thinking we probably ought to asterisk "tr** c*l**rs" too.

Sorry Ganesh, my bad.

It's ODing on DS that's the problem, I think.

I'm a little taken aback by tonight's episode, to be honest. Nikki's neither funny nor annoying- she's DANGEROUS. Richard's neither smug nor a top geezer- he's EVIL.

Everything's topsy-turvy. Christ, at this rate, Jennie'll be fascinating and Glyn will be not particularly punchable by the end of the week!

Aisleyne's still cool... Pete's now just becoming scared. His "Nikki's the weirdest girl I've ever met" gambit when she was in the Diary Room seemed almost like throwing out a rope... nobody grabbed it and pulled him to shore with a "yeah, she's a bit weird", unfortunately. "That's why you make such a great couple" they cackled, as they pushed him further away into the swell...

I had to go and take a 'phone call, so have missed the DANGER and EVIL in tonight's show. Could you say what happened, Stoatie?

21:24 / 14.08.06
Nikki said you swine, and I was surprised by how grating I found it. I missed the danger and evil, but that was pretty disappointing.

I must admit, though, that what I've seen of the Nikki/Pete gigglysnogathon so far, while a bit irritating (less so than the Grace/Mikey abomination), doesn't strike me as particularly concerning. I'm not huuugely surprised at the news that Pete feels "scared" in the context of a relationship with a female - but I'd been pleasantly surprised, to date, to see him overturning several of my ideas on his ability to commit to 'officially' being More Than Friends.

Ahhh, Xoc's recorded tonight's show...

Hehehehh. Loving Big Supernanny telling Nikki "silence!" in the Naughty Diary Room.

Richard's very into the "anti-Aisleynes" name for the dance troupe, and it carries on from there...

Nikki's actual dangerousness doesn't become apparent until right at the end...

Ganesh
21:51 / 14.08.06
I thought Richard was pushing "Anti-Plastics", and it was Pete who suggested "Anti-Aisleyne".

I did watch the show whilst G was busy elsewhere and I saw no evility from Richard. I thought he was fine. Ais was a bit of as grump around task rehearsal time. Nikki was quite funny.

And poor ginger Glyn. Nae luck. That happened to me once. Tried to go plum and ended up ginger. Dermot won't be happy with the ginger-hate though. It may blight his Beloved in his smiling little Irish eyes.

Wish Dickie could win but he can't, so AISLEYNE TO WIN!

I gave up on Pete a while back. Richard,as I say, was into the "anti-Aisleynes" thing. I didn't say he invented it. It's when he's in the Diary Room with Nikki that he actually becomes evil.

Wish someone other than Pete could win (just for the novelty/surprise value of it not having been predictable from Week One) but they can't, so PETE TO WIN!

Richard,as I say, was into the "anti-Aisleynes" thing. I didn't say he invented it.

You said he was "very into". He laughed, certainly, after Pete suggested it, then went back to insisting on "Anti-Plastics", reassuring Aisleyne he didn't consider her a Plastic. So I'm thinking that particular example's a trifle overstated.

It's when he's in the Diary Room with Nikki that he actually becomes evil.

One could certainly make a case for him being bitchy, but "evil", even in lower-case? Nahh. Aisleyne did seem to be grumping all over the dance task, although that could just be the way she's been edited.

And yeah, the "no-one understands, you're the most special" monologue at the end in her annoyingly drawly Drunken Nikki voice was weird, but not really a patch on Craig's sustained sequestering of Antnee, last year. And, to be fair, all the Pete = "baby" stuff is little more than an explicit articulation of the role he has assumed, for many of those in the House. I'd seen the Pete/Nikki relationship as more equal than the Pete/Lea or Pete/Richard dynamics. This year, it really does seem to have been all about the parent/child relationship.

Well, exactly; there's normally a couple surprises on final night, but I'm fairly sure they'll leave in about this order: Jennie, Ash, Richard, Nikki, Glynn, Pete. I'm basically left to hope that Richard (or 'not Glynn', at the very least) comes second, thinking back over the whole thing (okay, he was being a little bit mean about Aisleyne in the diary room, but - by fuck - she's had an awful couple of weeks, pussing it around the house, glomming onto that horrible, narrow-eyebrows village twit, OH GOD I HATE HIM, pissing my goodwill away anyway, and more importantly Dickie was being funny.) Richard has essentially been a decent human being pretty much throughout, and shown a turn of wit and nous normally lightyears beyond a BB contestant; he's probably the only such I'd ever conceivably want to have a discussion with, really.

I may even go so far as to chuck a couple votes his way in the hope this very limited dream of mine comes true.

I keep thinking you're banning the phrase "trois couleurs", as in the Kieslowski trilogy, but... it's not.

Yeah, in hindsight and less drunk, "evil" was a bit of a stretch. "Gitty" was probably closer to the mark.

But the Nikki-in-bedroom thing- I think it frightened me quite so much cos it was a leetle too much like the last page of the execrable Identity Crisis.

Watching Dickie being a dick with Aisleyne over her designer candy floss frock. Not exactly evil but certainly unkind and uncalled for. Maybe Stoatie, King of Digital Spy, has a point. AISLEYNE TO WIN! VOTE 09011 323314

Dickie seemed really dense in that interaction: he appeared not to realise that Aisleyne was joking about wearing a tits-oot top (and it was quite a funny joke). I was more bothered by his "that's what they wrap apples with in Sainsbury's" cattiness.

Nikki's overdoing the spoiltness. Not that good an actor, then - although she gets LOL points for calling Sniggering Glyn a "simpleton".

Ganesh
19:41 / 15.08.06
If she's genuinely got a chance of winning, though, Aisleyne might well be worth a whirl.
