perhaps someone could drop a large bucket of water on Grace, preferably a member of the production team who is younger than she is...

I don't think Aisleyne's gonna do it, sadly.

This is one time I'd really like Pete to avoid engagement, and stay in bed. Grace can tango with the simpleton for 21 minutes, then go back to taking the piss out of him.

Well, Aisleyne confronted her at least but, inevitably, was told there were "secrets that've come out" and "handshakes" in the Outside World, of which Aisleyne has no ken - and no-one in House v1.0 has any way of rebuffing that stuff.

Glyn really needs a punch in the kidneys right now. Fuckwit.

Have they basically chosen to ignore the rule about not talking about the outside world?

Ganesh
22:46 / 10.08.06
Seems so, doesn't it?

Well, at least no-one can claim that Grace has changed: she's the same lying shitbiscuit she always was...

As one DSer put it,

I realise she wasn't going to go back in the HND saying "Actually guys, I cacked myself and bottled the argument with Ash, and spent 20.5 minutes pretending to be interested in Glynn", but deary me ... such blatant lies.

On returning to the House v2.0, Grace gives an unsurprisingly Conquering Hero version of her 21 minutes next door. Lies and self-aggrandising aplenty, but most impressively vile is her recounting of Aisleyne challenging her on the water-throwing.

Aisleyne said something along the lines of "I have a duty to stick up for Susie; she's like my mother" (repeated by Grace in hilaaarious 'ghetto speak'), to which Evil Horseface added, "I thought to myself, yeah, that's because its the only mother she has."

Perhaps Grace will follow this with some amusing serious-as-cancer quips to Dickie?

"I hope you've apologised to Susie."

"No I haven't actually, I found out some secrets about her," replied Grace evasively.

This whole business has turned me off watching the show, much as I hate to fall into line with the tabloid headlines. One of the enjoyable, nice things about BB this year has been seeing the people who spout really, really obnoxious, bigotted views get booted out of the house, with the knowledge that they'll never be given quite that level of exposure again. So it frustrates and horrifies me that Grace's opinions, which always seem to make a very quick and strong impression on deeply susceptible cretins like Mikey and Nikki (who probably do share a lot of her nastier views on some level, but don't tend to bring them up without encouragement), are getting an airing again.

This would be less annoying if a) the stuff aimed at Richard to an extent, implicitly, and Aisleyne explicitly didn't have ugly, wider ramifications and b) I didn't know from reading other corners of the internet, watching related shows etc. that there are a lot of susceptible cretins out there who will also parrot this stuff back in turn.

In particular, the "Aisleyne talks funny, like some kind of penniless black person!" motif had all but disappeared from inside the House even before Mikey left, and I think this has a lot to do with the fact that it's not just a racist and classist idea, but also a very specifically anti-metropolitan, anti-London one, in a way that even the dedicatedly provincial Glynn could never quite generate himself.

I'm sure the showrunners are taking the view that every story needs a villain, and they've provided us with not just one, but a whole Injustice League of them. To an extent this is compelling, but I'll be a lot happier after tonight when three of 'em get kicked back out (especially if those three are Nikki, Grace and Mikey), and I'll be a lot happier if Richard's still there too.

I was glad when Nikki left, I cant stand watching her ever since the dance task where she got so frustrated she bit the mp3 player. I have an autistic brother a few years older than me who has learing difficulties and cant speak. When we were teens he would take his shoe or slipper off and bite it untill his gums blead, if he couldnt get his shoe off he'd bite his hand. And you cant help him because if you try to he'll bite you or pull your hair out. Thats frustration. Nikki can f*ck off.

Jenny to WIN! In my mind shes the only one in there with any sense, "Maybe I dont wanna f*ckin' be in here Aisleyne".

Wow. Didn't take Richard long to get assimilated.

Satisfied with Grace's description, Richard said: "After seeing how you've handled yourself now, you've redeemed yourself. People outside will be watching that and think 'f****** brilliant," praised Richard.

OK, Grace's description was a load of bollocks, but not praiseworthy. Richard, Richard, Richard, what the fuck?

Quite liked Jennie's and Aisleyne's exchange during last night's highlights, after the news about the nominations.

Even though Aisleyne is 27 (11!23!), her behaviour (running round the place screaming 'I'm in the last week' or whatever it was a minute or so after Richard and Imogen were cast out to an uncertain fate next door) would have seemed a bit much coming from a five year old child, or even Nikki. If anyone else had acted like that, Aisleyne would have been first in line to give them a moral going-over, albeit when they weren't actually in the room, and in a position to answer back.

Respect to Jennie for pointedly not making up with Aisleyne later - the hugs with Pete and Glen while Aisleyne hovered in the background, like ... well like a broken-down streetwalker really (apologies to Aisleyne fans, but that's how it looked) were sort of television gold. Although I'm sure it's all officially been smoothed over now.

see grace wasted no time reverting to type, lying and denying she called Grace a moose. I have a rare criticism of Richard here - I think he should have just stood up to Grace and said "yes, I called you horsefaced, because you are a repulsive human being".

easier said than done, I guess.

Liked Grace repeatedly calling for Glyn to come in, having not cared about him before, once she realised he was prepared to kiss her arse.

no mention, however, of nude front covers or the reclusive Prince George.

Encouraging cheers for Richard versus Imogen from the eviction crowd.

I'm beginning to really really detest Nikki because of the Aisleyne sniping. At least Grace is upfront about being a loathsome bitch, whereas Nikki is achieving the same results by stealth.

I hope Pete's mum is watching and saying to herself "right. when that boy of mine gets out i'll set him straight about that little madam."

At least Grace is upfront about being a loathsome bitch

Did you read her Heat interview? It was titled something along the lines of "I'm Not A Loathsome Bitch" and featured Grace explaining how she was a "nice girl, really".

I'm really having problems with Richard right now. Intellectually, I know a whole lot of it is down to his being overwhelmed by the power of situation (finding himself plus ally-of-necessity Imogen in the company of four people, two of whom he liked and trusted to a certain extent, who purported to have seen the whole of the moon). Instinctively, however, I really want him to trust his gut feelings about Grace, see through the spin, be a better judge of character than he apparently is. Go for vendetta rather than conciliation.

More Lea hilarity regarding Dickie being stuck in the sofa, "The Queen is lodged in the sofa, assistance in the timeshare please."

Actually how about Lea to go back in and Lea to win? There's a thought...

re Grace in Heat: there's none so blind as them who will not see, huh.

Lea's rocking my HND world.

Actually how about Lea to go back in and Lea to win?

Winning might be a bit much but, on the strength of her re-presentation, Lea does seem to be the only Housemate who's actually changed in a positive way since her eviction. Nikki, in particular, has become less amusing with the knowledge that we're amused by her.

Yeah, well done Imogen. I thought Davina might have picked her up on the 'I don't like bitching' thing after her performance in the early weeks, but still, you can't have everything.

Yeah, Imogen came across really badly at the beginning, but I'm not sure quite how much of this was to do with her appalling taste in men resulting in her "falling amongst thieves". I don't think she was ever actually evil.

Ganesh
19:32 / 11.08.06
I don't think she was ever actually evil.

Yeah. I was really fucked off with her over the homophobic "don't touch Sezer or my parents will think I'm sleeping with a man who's caught gay" thing, but even that's unexamined rather than eeevil.

19:35 / 11.08.06
Yes, comedy nail breakage and Richard advising her on her lippy.

She was very savvy about the housemates voting for Nicki to come in, because 'that's what Pete wants'. Obviously that's once she understood the (very simple) question.

What I want is for the HM's to vote Lea in for the last week and for Grace and Nickie to eff off. This will not happen.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
19:56 / 11.08.06
NO. If Lea goes back in (much as she deserves to more than Nikki) Pete will revert to jellyfish form and some of his vote may well migrate to Glyn. And Glyn CAN ABSOLUTELY NOT WIN THIS OR THERE IS NO GOOD IN THE UNIVERSE AND NO HOPE FOR HUMANITY.

What ARE they going to do to Glyn anyway? And will it hurt?

Beating Glyn to death with Grace's severed limbs would be fitting.
