Aisleyne's dad, on the other hand, can do no wrong in my eyes: a voice like powdered granite, and the build and looks of a Frank Miller sketch. I imagine bullets would bounce off him.

Hmmm. I'm not sure 'monkey face' is a term of endearment. I also find that judging people based on their physical appearance can often be problematic.

However, conveniently you can say that it was a term of endearment without anyone being able to pick you up on it since we are not you. I wonder what you would term 'an attack'?

Regarding spellings, yes you're right, very lazy of me not to have spelled names correctly and thank you for taking the time to point this out to me in your cryptic way. Much more sensible just to mention it though really, rather than make snide little bold letters in your post I would have thought.

I've tried to explain myself to you but we're apparently talking at cross-purposes. You're right that I could have meant something offensive by my remark and been backtracking, and that I can't 'prove' my real intentions were more positive. Get the moderators to delete the post and any in-post references to it if you wish.

I wasn't trying to be snide with you either, I wanted to give you a gentle nudge without having to overtly point out your lack of attention to detail, but instead you've made a big deal out of it so, hey, it went the way of most good intentions.

H1ppychick, I'm not clear what's going on here. It's not a big deal to me, you just felt a bit, well, snarky and I'm not really understanding why.

Personally I much prefer the honest and open approach, or even a PM if it mattered that much to you that I spell things correctly. In future, if you have any other things you would like to nudge me about, perhaps you'd like to take that route please? Thank you.

**********

I think Nikki, for all her fault was mightly self-aware especially in her interview. I'm glad she acknowledged how her behaviour looked in retrospect. I'm not sure many of the other housemates would mock themselves to the level she did and that's one of the reasons I really liked her. In a week where anyone could have gone I am surprised it was Nikki. If she'd gone in a week when she was up against, say, Richard, or Glyn then it would have been cool for me.

Having said that, I didn't like the Jayne/Nikki alliance and I'm glad that's over with.

I wish I had seen Aisleyne'd Dad. He sounded like he rocked.

I think calling H1ppychick on a bit of physical abuse is a tad unnecessary considering myself and others have been imagining rather terrible fates for the housemates we dislike without any real comeback.

Sezer caught a certain amount of flak for having a face like a weasel.

Just saying is all.

I almost liked her again when reminded of some of her best bits.

I did as well. But I think it's part of her childlike qualities. Like most small children, when she's in a good mood she can be very endearing.

Rather late, I finally realised last night who in particular Nikki has been reminding me of - Jake, the dog-obsessed, baby-faced crackhead psycho who abducted David and terrorised him throughout the night in that great season four episode of Six Feet Under. It's just that lethal one-two combination of cutesy fuzzy-hearted infantilism and terrifyingly primal spontaneous rage that made them both such compelling characters. Now I've thought of it I can't get this equivalence out of my head.

(I'd just like to make it clear that I don't seriously consider Nikki to be a violent psychopath, or that if she had any major mental health issues we ought to be making fun of them. Hope you and Xoc are having a lovely holiday, Dr. Ganesh!)

I'm finding it genuinely quite sad that Imogen, perhaps alone of all the girls in the house, is still carefully undressing with towels wrapped round her, or under a duvet ~ after weeks sharing a bedroom with the same people and being under camera surveillance ~ ignorant of the fact that her ex-boyfriend allowed (sold?) a video of their sex sessions, which is now circulating around the internet. Someone on DS suggested that this might significantly narrow her post-BB career, which seems even more of a shame.

I know she's generally boring, but if someone's trying to be modest about their body and an ex-lover betrays them so crassly, you can't help but feel sorry, perhaps.

I got all misty eyed again at tantrul girl's departure. however much she moans, she's a star...

I agree with abi titmuss that Jayne is a plant.

too right.

some people pointed out that my former nickname for Jayne was a bit crap, although they were too nice to spell it out. How about "House Plant"?

From our Moroccan correspondent - on an Arabic keyboard so every letter takes me ten minutes to find. Sitting, weeping for the Glory That Was Nikki, in an internet cafe above The Place Of The Dead (Jmaa el Fna) in Marrakech.

An appropriate location from which to announce that I can never now return to the shores of a country that allows Imogen, Susie and Squirrel to persist in the House but evicts Nikki, on a free vote yet. I would further demonstrate my profound disappointment by the use of the exclamation mark, if I knew where to find the damn thing on this keyboqrd.

I hope she got a rapturous reception from the crowd. I'm off to the BB sites to check out reportage there. GET JAYNE OUT.

She got a great reception, Xoc, (Davina said it was the most bizarre eviction ever, the most rip-roaring reception she'd ever heard, and described it as more like the emergence of the winner than a loser). This only made the fact of her eviction seem even more inexplicable.

Nikki herself could scarcely believe the crowd and stood frozen in the doorway, her face crumpling like a paper bag, until Davina actually came up and dragged her from the threshold.
Davina's much better suited to interviewing popular Housemates than the rotters, so it was all rather lovely. Once she'd got over the shock she seemed to enjoy it, and was laughing at her montages as much as I was. The sheer quantity of quality clips meant that she wasn't given much time to offer any insights into her stay (although - as always - her face narrated the action better than words could). But she dashed off a few more postcards from Selfawaria (including a story about how she throws tantrums on train platforms when she misses the tube, then has to sit shamefaced with the other passengers when the next train comes moments later). She was brilliant.

I hope everyone who voted for her realises what they've done.

Yes. we shall not see her like again.

I agree with abi titmuss that Jayne is a plant.

I maintain that Nikki's reaction to Jayne upon "meeting her" suggests that they had in fact met already. Suggests strongly, even.

I have no idea why it should make you angry.

1) Jayne was allowed to continue breaking rules even though her rulebreaking had been noted. No other housemate was.
2) She has shown none of the self-consciousness ever other housemated who have been guilt tripped.
3) it's strange that only every other housemate was punished for what she did, while she was protected
4) some of the things she says "hands up who doesn't like aisleyne" sound like an act. would someone who was genuine show that lack of caution, when it was so likely to get back to aisleyne?

Regardless of point 3), which I think was a good idea to get rid of some of the chaff - if only Nikki hadn't been a greenfly, eh? - do you not think it possible that these things are indicative rather of Jayne's (horrible, horrible) personality than any KONZP1RACE33E!11!1!, maybe?

The Falcon

Also 3) is classic parental/teacher punishment, creating resentment among the peer group.

Peach Pie
18:24 / 15.07.06

It's possible that she's just a completely vile individual. However, *I* think it's more likely that she's been put there to make people sit in judgment of her ("Gosh, she's so horrible, I just have to spend money getting her out now!")

Nikki CLEARLY knew her before. She also knew squirrel b4. according to one paper, bb'ers receive training from agents. she works in television. add to that the fact that I just don't believe her character... she's a plant.

g*ldf*sh, it's beginning to piss people off because no-one else seems to be seeing a conspiracy. Why could that be?

People have been responding in a well-reasonded manner that, no, there's a more Occamic explanation but you just keep on trucking with that plant theory. Give it a rest.

18:38 / 15.07.06

Triplets- please don't talk to me like that. it's not the first time you've taken that tone with me, and I don't think it's particularly well reasoned.

if you look around on other big brother message boards - and no, it's not a habit of mine - you'll find quite a few other posters who also think Jayne is a plant.

it might be baloney. or it might be that truth that is hard to believe passes through ridicule and violent opposition before being accepted as self-evident. maybe people don't like to think they're being manipulated on such a scale. maybe they're not.

in any event, it's no excuse to talk down to me.

I think you're a plant, Goldfish.

Don't you mean "plank", Falc?

goldfish, if my tone comes off as harsh it's because, mainly, you're annoying me with your proselytization about this shadowy hand of Jayne business. Okay, you've said there might something dodgy about. Can you let it go for now until you something more concrete surfaces? (How's that for an oxymoronic image).

Also, this isn't other message boards. I don't care about other messages boards unless they impact this one. And, if this is there impact: to get you posting incessantly about a conspiracy no one else on here seems to see then I can't say that's going to change any time soon.

*blinks*

it's up to you whether you care about other message boards or not. It's not "going on" about it to mention that I still believe it, especially when all other boards I've seen are openmindedly looking at it as a possibility. what concrete proof would you be after? an admission?

quit being so bloody rude. the fact that someone holds a view you don't, or even that you've decided to be annoyed about it, is insufficient reason to treat me badly.

you're trying to ride my back. time for you to get off. and don't say you'll get off only when everything i post is acceptable to you. have some respect for freedom of speech and quit talking to me as if you're better than me.

NOW.

I kind of agree with SG about Jayne - she does seem to keep on putting her foot in it, doesn't she? Either she's terribly, terminally confused, or her dialogue's being written by Rikki Gervais, and I find the later option less worrying, frankly.

Then again, Marco, the fag-bangle, wasn't a plant, as it turned out, in the end.

Sometimes people are just who they are, what it says on the tin.

And you want to murder them.
