Good to see that Glyn seems to be channeling, as it were, Ivor The Engine - It may be a little worrying, as associations go, but at least it's Welsh

Poor little Glyn is homesick - triggered by spotting a Welsh name on a train. It must all be very strange here in the big city. I bet DisGrace has been scaring him again with her Harrods talk.

Earlier on the BB site described Grace, disapproving of Sam's crap Klingon, as having a face like a dog chewing a wasp. Hoho. Commentary box not Gracie fans then?

Imogen really is completely vacuous. Richard was so on the money, except perhaps he should have used 'empty' rather than 'transparent'.

Sezer: "There are going to be forums of people talking about our romance. People talking about the Sezer/Imogen situation. 'Is it a publicity stunt?'"

You'll find those discussion more quickly if you google words that rhyme with publicity stunt.

That number again: Text SEZER to 84444 or call 09011 32 33 13

Oh, I’d suggest chancing swans rather than geese. They can break a man’s arm with their wings, you know! Along with the eviction itself, and all the hissing, that could make for an all-time classic telly Moment. Twenty years from now, they'll still be talking about the night a swan broke Sezer's arm on live tv.

Worth a try.

He's only little. Pigeons could break his arms. Chaffinches, at a pinch.

It's true, though, swans are hard bastards. So I was told by a Glenrothes lad who'd had to have the aid of at least three mates to fight one.

They said on the radio in a cafe this morning (and not radio 4, neither) that bookies reckon Sezer is now more hated than Nasty Nick ever was.

How to vote for Sezer from Ireland (from the BB site):

Call 1514 712 013 (calls cost 75cents, mobile and other network rates may vary). 14c from every vote will go to charity

They'll get my love if and when Sezer is evicted and not a moment before.

Although once it happens I will be out on the street hugging total strangers, and neither rain nor restraining order can stop me!

i really hope Sezer goes, and will relish his OMFGWTF face for sure, but confess am surprised at the sheer unanimity against him. the popularity you'd have thought he cd command just by being not unattractive, a *character*, and one half of a BB couple doesn't appear to be there at all...

i know why *we* don't like him (and the list is long) but the wider public who have supported comparable housemates in the past..? his misogyny is the thing that keeps surfacing, but this isn't the first time that's been evidenced by a HM, often in more concentrated (i.e. televisual) form (Sezer's brand of creepiness being blurred somewhat by his charm and intelligence).

it's true that internet polls are perhaps more likely to favour the other HMs, but still... is this a vote against instant coupling? if Sezer had struck out (or even been on/off with Imogen) i think he'd be in a stronger position. is it fundamentally the noted *smugness* of the couples (and their envenomed pillow-talk and othering of *individual* housemates) that has damned them?

a BB romance, it seems, is only a vote-winner when there's some mystery, ssome backstory, omething to come - perhaps by pairing up so readily, the deal has misfired for all concerned - the more passive partners (Imogen & Mikey) not having to prove their personality outside of snuggles, and the alphas (Grace, Sezer) coming off spoilt, complacent etc.

can anyone confirm Imogen has been banned from voting *again* for yet more discussion of nominations..?

I think the rapid pairing off has been a factor in the drop in popularity for the couples. The previous "matches" in the house tended to form after a couple of weeks didn't they? Whereas these ones happened in a matter of days.

Whilst it might be simple coincidence, and luuurve-at-first-sight that caused both the leading couples came together so quickly I think it's being viewed as a cynical eviction dodging ploy being done by people who've watched previous shows and think they're more machievellian than, in fact, they are.

Of course they're evil-hearted, soul-less monsters too. Which is also a point against them.

... is this a vote against instant coupling?

Possibly, but I think the self-assured "women will vote to keep me in" has been picked up as something of a challenge by many.

And yes, Imogen's been banned from nominating next week too.

Hopefully BB won't stealth-punish her this time around and just won't call her name when it comes to nominations this week.

I think it's also the smugness of Sezer personally -he's so sure he isn't going to get kicked out, I'd want him out even if I'd not disliked him for real reasons.

I agree with Vincennes that there is a degree of shadenfreude at play, but there’s probably also a desire to manipulate the house dynamic. He might see himself as something of a ‘character’, but actually Sezer is a bit of a drag. He’s solidified one demographic in the house into a dull, charmless clag, and I expect lots of people want to see that bloc broken up in the hope that some personality can be salvaged from its constituent parts. I’m not sure that that is possible, but Imogen is at least going to have to do *something* without Sezer to hang off.

This is why I think the early coupling has been a tactical mistake. It’s different when the personalities have been established individually – we become interested in how they work in combination – but by failing to distinguish themselves as individuals first, the relationship is untextured. They become forgettable.

OMG!! Just like SamandEric in Lord of teh flies!!111!23!

I believe it was due to explicitly telling Richard that she hadn't nominated him during their row.

Past history would seem to suggest that straight BB coupling's not a good idea tactically. The novelty value of Stuart and the Scary Limpet kept them in for a while (plus that was so awful, and the hetero powerblock that year was of a slightly different character,) but if memory serves, Maxwell and Saskia didn't last all that long after they hooked up, which seems to bode well for Slimogen and Mace.

It would be interesting to see how a gay couple would go over with the great British public though - my guess'd be, much better, but I don't suppose we're going to find out this year.

Just watching the highlights show- Imogen's "I don't know if they've been given other things- TELL SEZER" complete with subtitles was totally a cut-scene from a game. I'm expecting Team Smug to pile in with AK-47s and stuff.

The numbers militate against that ever happening. There's rarely ever more than two gay males in the House at any one time (I'm not counting BB maybisexuals here, because they invariably go for opposite-sex pairings) so the chances of those two happening to find each other attractive are statistically low. Even if they did, I expect there'd be a degree of conscious resistance to coupling up, because one would be acutely aware of the OMG!! TWO GAYERS IN A HOUSE = TEH GAYSEX1!1 expectation - like being the only two singles at an otherwise pair-bonded dinner party.
