Let's not read too much into an edited, edited highlight.

You're right though. Thing about the Big Brother production is that they seem to have the best editors in the business. They're great at cutting the footage to walk you through 'stories'. That's great when it comes to montages, not so great when you want an objective, uncreative round-up.

This year's crop of housemates must be the most BB literate ever. Why don't they just have fights that last for exactly an hour between 9 and 10 pm then? Pointless wasting your best lines and stroppery for 2 am when nobody's watching and BB can edit the best bits out. And I wouldn't be going around like a fog with feet the day after.

But we're watching.

Slight change of subject: I'm glad I reserved judgement on Aisleyne. She's more than a pretty face and questionable breasts. She was good fronting up to Sezer on the first night ("When you said "We got 'em out' [Shahbaz, Dawn and Bonner], you mean you *bullied* 'em out, don't you?"), and the more I see of her and Richard together, the more I see that as potent coupling. Dickie's been looking a bit weak in the last 20 hrs, he seems more vulnerable than I first thought (the costume doesn't help, of course), and I think the steelier Aisleyne would complement him. He seems to like her; I think he thinks she gets something about him that the others don't.

Yes, an alliance with the White Queen could work well for Dickie. If she'd been on his side last night, in place of Lea, he'd have been less alone. If Sezer goes tomorrow (and we need to keeeep dialling), Ms Frost could well be looking to make strategic alliances with Richard rather than Team SmugHet.

I suspect she might do that either way.

No probs, Shrug. Here goes another in your name.

Don't want to get my hopes up too much (or discourage people from voting voting voting), but William Hill currently has Sewer (sorry - that's how he comes up on predictive text and for some reason it's stuck) at 1/8 favourite to go out. (Leah at 5/1 and Richard at 14/1).

18:58 / 01.06.06
I'm suspicious of tonight's editing. I fear a hatchet job specifically to ramp up anti-Dickie votes and keep the viewers guessing.

I have killed my phone with text votes for Sezer, and am in fact planning to go up to Link tomorrow and get MORE CREDIT just for the express purpose of getting that prunt out the house. If he survives the eviction, I am considering forming a kind of A-Team of Lithers to go down and forcibly evict him, then initiate a cult-style 'deprogramming' of Mockneyrine by tying him up and throwing him into the middle of Bears' Night at Torture Garden.

Oh, and apologies to Aisleyne re. the 'Romford Cuckoos' thing. On seeing her face down the Sleaze the other night, my opinions did a volte-face which made my Barrymore conversion during CBB look like a mild finessing of a basically coherent position. The idea of Wee Sezey being able to 'bully' young Aisleyne seems, frankly, laughable.

Not good so far, but predictable: the "dull, boring, plastic" speech to Imogen, shorn of all context and shoved at the start of the programme.

19:10 / 01.06.06
Sezer's spin on the "ghetto ho" comment - "I didn't say it in a nasty way". Dissembling little wankparcel.

Not being judged, not being criticised, not being belittled and treated like a freak. Poor Lea. She'll be so disappointed when the penny drops.

Mikey and Sezer are heartless manipulators.

Ah, the promise of getting Glyn the ladies has brought him under the control of the evil Sleazer!

I keep feeling sorry for sleazenation everytime somebody refers to Sezer as simply sleaze.

For those who missed it, Digital Spy summarises Mikey's moment of eloquence from last night:

Mikey: "you fookin said like.......then you fookin said.. false like.. discount the word bitch... i'm quiet like... discount the word bitch... you fookin said like... false like... i'm quiet like.. you fookin said like... discount the word bitch..."

Richard:"Ok I said she was false but not a bitch"

Mikey: "but you fookin said like.......then you fookin said.. false like.. discount the word bitch... i'm quiet like... discount the word bitch... you fookin said like... false like... i'm quiet like.. you fookin said like... discount the word bitch..."

Hypocritical bastard. Also, displaying quite staggering sleight of hand, attempting to reverse engineer himself a 'credible' position. "I'm on the edge, that's always how it was going to be." (paraphrased slightly, no doubt).

Big self-mythologiser, our Slezer. That needs to be reality-tested.

He was surprisingly lucid and analytical on Lea's behaviour there. Doesn't mean he's not a cunt, as the fact that he can look at a situation like that means that his behaviour to others is even more cunty, as he doesn't have the excuse of ignorance.

I think that's the thing that really gets me about Slezer, being able to watch his behaviour like this. It's not simply the things he says, and how he says them, it's the fact that he's just so comfortable being that way. And that - even when challenged, he'll remain comfortable in his rightness, and have a myriad of ways of justifying everything to himself (and in turn everyone else) until he's satisfied. "It's just the laddish culture", "I live on the edge", "I wouldn't say ghetto princess, I might say ghetto ho... haha... not really!"

I just want him to look in the mirror one day, with a gasp of realisation, and think "OMG! CUNT!"

In other words the SMUG of smughet has never seemed so right. He seems smart enough to know better, but he's soooo pleased and relaxed about being a twart.

He was surprisingly lucid and analytical on Lea's behaviour there.

Up to a point. I think he always has one eye to the cameras or at least to how he's perceived by whoever he's talking to ie. he saves the real bitchiness for the bedtime conversations with Imogen. As you say, however, it makes one wonder why he's so unable to properly analyse himself - or perhaps he is and simply goes along with the "whatever I say isn't properly 'offensive' because it's a laddish JOKE!1!!" explanation because it means never having to say you're sorry.

Hm. We never really knew where Richard was going with that "just remember, I hear you and Imogen talking at night..." statement, because Mikey leapt in with "you've called Imogen a false bitch" before he could finish his sentence.

h1ppychick
19:46 / 01.06.06
Oh Sezer's face when Imogen dropped them both in it about the missed nominations.

Out of interest, how much of this was blanked out last night and covered up by commercial breaks?

Poor Richard. It is a great handicap to have some concern for others in that place.

Really? Have a word with them, then, because we're seeing a whole load of Richard-to-Imogen and not a lot of the shitstorm he had to put up with.

Tryphena Absent

I tuned in after the initial argument so it's quite interesting to see how it started.

Richard had every right to use it as leverage as it's the plain truth.
