If Sezer goes then it leaves Team: SmugCouple with a dirty, great hole amidships and hopefully will see them sink into the briny depths with a few survivors clinging to boards

It'll be much more fun to watch the struggle to join a new group (Aisleyne may well be courted despite the heavy amount of flak she's getting from the girls currently).

George's replacement still to come in (betting on a brand new bohunk) too.

(Let's face it, I just want a faction forming around Aisleyne so we can get to calling it The Hellfire Club asap).

Did anyone else find the Richard/Pete scene in the garden last night a little bit melty?

It was sweet, but I was more frustrated that Pete lent no support when it was actually needed. I know that Pete’s approach in the garden was partly to apologise for that and explain that he’s ‘not very good at talking’, and a full-scale battle of words is Pete’s worst nightmare, but he could have made *some* effort to demonstrate some solidarity, rather than just standing there like a dumb, disinterested observer. Although, I was really more disappointed in Lisa. She had to be physically *restrained* when Shahbaz got fighty.
I understand that Lea was just confused by the whole incident, and seems less and less keen to ally herself with anyone, but I was surprised that neither Pete nor Lisa would nail their colours to the mast.

My heart broke a little for Richard as he tried to explain himself to Vermin, who seemed utterly uncomprehending of the fact that it was the ‘bitch’ part of ‘dumb bitch’ that Richard was disputing (probably because to Vern, that was the innocuous part). What's that saying? Better to keep your mouth shut and let people suspect you're an idiot, than open it and confirm it. Eh, Mikey?

I’m hoping that Imogen and Sezer’s suggestion that they couldn’t nominate because of some sort of secret mission, or ‘game’ Big Brother is playing, sounded suitably suspicious to the others. Using that fact to dent Richard’s confidence (and cast doubt about assume allegiances) was probably a good move, tactically, but their lies about the reason are likely to collapse under questioning. You don’t get banned from nominating for no reason. I’m hoping that happens in the cold light of today.

I’m absolutely sure I want Sezer out on Friday. It’ll be some vindication for Richard, will give Lea some confidence, and utterly humiliate Sezer. First out (not counting Bonner, and who is?).

Elsewhere, I noticed that Sam seems to be taking an increasing interest in Pete. And she appeared to be spared the wrath of Lisa as she cuddled up to him on the sofa. Pete’s beginning to bore me a little, and I hope this triangle might force him to take a less passive role.

By the way, To vote for Sezer, text SEZER to 84444 or call 09011 32 33 13

I particularly like 'Flossie's attempt to rationalise Imogen's don't-frighten-the-horses spiel:

In that discussion in the garden Richard accused Imogen of constantly giving him dirty looks and being homophobic because in the conversation he had overheard she said “I don’t have anything against gays but….”. Imogen explained that she had loads of gay friends and was not homophobic, but she was concerned that Richard and Sezer seemed to be playful in such a way that her parents could interpret Sezer as being bisexual or something similar, and she thought her parents would not approve of her having a relationship with such a person.)

So... essentially, it's perfectly reasonable to transfer responsibility for one's parents' hypothetical distaste (ugh! she snogged a bisexual!) onto the person with whom one's partner of, ooh, two weeks is enjoying a perfectly innocent, playful relationship. In making this point (from which Imogen characteristically retreated into vagueness, leaving it hanging), Imogen successfully does to Richard what Shahbaz did to Glyn (the you-don't-like-me-so-you're-homophobic thing): she creates a homo/hetero tension which makes one party wholly responsible for any 'offence' generated. What was an easy-going comfortable relationship suddenly becomes self-conscious; Richard now cannot be physical with Sezer - regardless of the latter happily consenting to be kissed, spanked, thrown around, arm-wrestled - because Imogen's parents might think Sezer's bisexual, and be upset.

I think that's indicative of the skew in the rest of 'Flossie's interpretation.

I did like the way Sezer repeatedly referred to respecting Imogen’s wishes with regard to flirtatious contact with Richard not as 'cooling off' or 'stopping', but ‘slowing things down’.

It was the harking-back to days of being bullied that I found melty, as well as Pete's awkward hug - but yes, I'm fully in agreement re: the uselessness of Richard's 'allies' when he needed them most. They stood around like particularly gormless rubberneckers at a car-crash and, even afterwards, when Richard had retreated to the garden and there was less chance of them drawing yer actual fire, I'm amazed that neither Lea nor Lisa could muster the human decency to go out to him.

Nikki seems most appalled at the hiding of alcohol - although Richard didn't actually do this - and Glyn, for fuck's sake, despite being one of the heinous alcohol-hiders, backed up Mikey on the "false bitch" thing (which I don't think Richard actually did say; although he can be catty, he's quite shocked by Sezer's use of misogynistic terms, and tends to avoid them himself).

I’m absolutely sure I want Sezer out on Friday. It’ll be some vindication for Richard, will give Lea some confidence, and utterly humiliate Sezer.

I think the fact that Sezer's so completely not expecting to go would make it a perfect eviction. As someone on DS observed, if this were a troop of monkeys, Richard would be sitting alone, up a tree, while Sezer hooted and enthusiastically mounted all his fellow primates from behind.

If they're watching they may find themselves altering their views on het men as well...

Although to be fair we could be being a little harsh on her parents- we only have her word to go on that they are actually bi/homophobic, and I'd have to go and check for myself if she told me what the weather was like. Seems more like a transference of blame in order to wriggle out of charges of homophobia herself- "of course I don't mind... I'm just worried about my dear old Mum, so old-fashioned she is". Hopefully her parents are watching and shouting "Oi! Don't go bringing us into this bullshit!"

And Richard's nomming him "on the basis of his complete vulgarity towards females". Yeah, I admit I'm starting to like him too.

My original reasons for not liking Richard were the whole Shahbaz thing- it wasn't that I thought what they were doing was unjustified, but I saw an evil glee in his face, and felt he'd almost been waiting for someone to be that much of a cock so he could do that to them. The delivery of smoky bacon crisps through the door seemed highly offensive too, though I'm prepared to admit he may not really have considered the flavour.

Sorry for the triple-posting...

Imogen, if you're reading this, Mr White himself is my personal friend and I know for a fact he wants you to chuck Sezer before he's evicted tomorrow. Do this, turn the knife in the wound, and he says he'll put you on the guest list and let you call him China.

Just don't bring Grace with you (whom he saw described in a digitalspy forum as having a Face like a Plasterer's Radio.) Hehe.

According to the wonderful DS What's Happening At The Moment thread, Grace and Nikki seem confident Sezer will stay, and

Grace is under the impression that the 10 year old kids that were on last week for the task, are expressing the views of the adult population, ie they didnt like Richard or Lea, but thought Sleazer was cool !

Bwahahahahahhh...

I’m actually thinking of going to the eviction tomorrow night in the hope of initiating a chorus of hissing as Sezer is evicted.

Sezer marginally worried at the prospect of being up for nomination next week. He's certain it's Lea this week or, failing her, Richard.

Sssshhhh. I may have been informed earlier that Nikki in the diary room getting annoyed is me when I'm really, really angry. Nikki is scary, not funny. Sccaarrryy.

I'll be imagining interpretive hand-dance every time you post in the urgh fuck thread now. Scary indeed.

Mmm quite looking forward to seeing what way BB decides to frame last night's argument. If my flat (and surrounding residences as I'm in student accomodation) are in any way representative of the yoof vote, Sleazer will be out tomorrow. Everyone seems to be baying for his blood down here. I'm finding it increasingly hard to watch him, such is my annoyance. It's worsened by the fact that I can't vote (living in Ireland). I think I'd actually post someone the 25p if they voted Sezer for me!

Sofa area: Mikey, Lisa, Imogen, Grace, Sezer and Glyn.

Kitchen: Richard, Sam, Aisleyne, Pete, Lea.

(Nikki is in the bathroom, throwing up. Possibly.)

Fuckers. I guess that accords with previous evictions, when they've tried to make it as nail-biting as possible by closing the gap on the night-before highlights show. At present, online polls are running around 70-80% of the vote for Sezer, so they may be trying to redress the balance a bit.

It pissed me off when the Richard/Imogen/Sezer discussion of a couple of days back was edited for the highlights show: all the "my parents are watching" homophobic stuff was snipped. I'm not sure if this reflects a policy of not allowing references to Housemates' relatives or whether it was an attempt to neutralise things. It decontextualised the whole conversation, and made it appear as if Richard was just being picky and persistent.

I suspect this is going to annoy me quite a bit...
