This is going to be interesting. Apart from anything else, going by past BBs, smugly assuming you won't be voted out is a really bad idea.

"Sezer, your behaviour is offensive to every woman up and down the country"

YES. Go Richard!

Ganesh
19:06 / 31.05.06
Also, to Imogen, "I will modify my behaviour for Sezer but not for you". Damn right.

Classic I-have-lots-gay-friends, I-don't-mind-gay-people-but homophobia from Miss Wales. Get to fuck, Imogen.

Oh God I'm such a fag hag for Richard right now.

God, the sense of entitlement within Team SmugHet! Tearful paranoia that one of their number is going, and that that might have a knock-on effect in terms of nominations - and the craving for tangible enemies, threats to the supremacy of their power bloc. Why the need for such Us & Themism? It's reminiscent of last year's Team Saskia, except with 'othering' on the base of social class (and, in the case of Richard, sexuality) rather than race.

I've not watched for a week due to parental visitation but have been keeping up with the goings-on via this thread. It's interesting that the immediate reaction of Grace and Imogen in the bathroom is not that they'll miss a friend with George going, it's that it immediately exposes them to nomination threat.

Imogen, as my grandfather used to say in his Polish accent, go cry over yourself.

Back in the more sensible, rational Real World, Dawn is on hunger strike:

Former Big Brother contestant Dawn Blake has said she is going on hunger strike until the show's producers hand over tapes of her time in the house.

Dawn, 38, said in a statement she had been kept in the house against her will, and wants unedited footage from the programme to support her claims.

The psychological screening process is likely to be questioned again...

WARNING: FATUOUS ILL-ADVISED ANALOGY AHEAD

It's interesting that the immediate reaction of Grace and Imogen in the bathroom is not that they'll miss a friend with George going, it's that it immediately exposes them to nomination threat.

Team SmugHet = America under Bush. Despite being the single most powerful voting bloc, they're utterly terrified of anything which might conceivably threaten that power, and consolidate themselves by imagining all sorts of bogeymen in the darkness beyond the campfire's edge.

Richard seems unable to see through Grace. Frustrating.

Thing is that she presents herself quite reasonably to him; she's a bit of a chameleon.

h1ppychick
19:29 / 31.05.06
Which is good, because she might get caught out one day and get tarred with the Big Brother Ultimate Sin brush - that of not being 'straight-talking', or 'telling it how she sees it'.

Ganesh
19:30 / 31.05.06
Oh, that bastard Richard "trying to be the diplomat, trying to sort things out". Quelle shitbag.

19:36 / 31.05.06
I really liked stern Big Brother giving Imogen a telling-off, that was worth the price of admission tonight.

Ganesh
19:41 / 31.05.06
Oh Lisa, Lisa, Lisa. What a poor judge of character you are...

Mourne Kransky
19:42 / 31.05.06
Lisa has so been gulled by The Plastics. Open your eyes and direct your venom purposefully, Lisa.

19:43 / 31.05.06
Ooh backstabbing pseudoPlastic Mikey. Duplicitous turncoat.

19:45 / 31.05.06
I'm warming to Nikki again now.

Ganesh
19:45 / 31.05.06
I may not agree with her nomination of Lea, but Nikki has the best reasons so far, end of.

h1ppychick
19:47 / 31.05.06
Pete, I think I love you. You're so rational and reasoned and your reasons are just so reasonably rational.

Mourne Kransky
19:48 / 31.05.06
Good choices, Pete, and extremely well put!

Ganesh
19:48 / 31.05.06
Ooh, Saint Pete is tres perceptive in nominating Imogen and Sezer, I feel. I'm also seriously warming to his 'stress tics' now he's not doing that shit all the time.

Suedey! SHOT FOR MEAT!
19:49 / 31.05.06
yessssss

Ganesh
19:50 / 31.05.06
Go Richard! Go Richard!

Olulabelle
19:50 / 31.05.06
I know. Pete was fabulous. I liked Nikki's little fit of despair and anger about Lea, too. And she's quite right.

h1ppychick
19:50 / 31.05.06
Way to look like a twat, Sezer.

Mourne Kransky
19:51 / 31.05.06
Ha ha ha. How are the cocky fallen!

Tom Paine's Bones
19:52 / 31.05.06
Awwww. I heart Pete and Richard even more now.

Glyn's nomination of Grace pleasantly surprised me. Out of everybody in the house, I find him the hardest to read by far.

■
19:54 / 31.05.06
I can't remember anyone else mentioning this, but they probably have. Does Nikki remind anyone else of a shrunken Vanessa Feltz?

Tryphena Absent
19:55 / 31.05.06
I missed Richard's nominations! What did he say?

Mourne Kransky
19:55 / 31.05.06
Yeah, he was perceptive there and I've kind of assumed he was a bit slow on the uptake. More fool me. Welsh + valleys doesn't mean cattle cake.

Ganesh
19:55 / 31.05.06
I sooo want Sezer out now, just to see a) the look on his face, and b) the looks on the faces of Team SmugHet generally. It might also give Lea some much needed confidence. I'm liking her a lot more than I thought I would when she first entered the House, but she's a vulnerable person pushed into the reluctant role of Mother, and she's ill-equipped to deal with the flak that's (mostly unreasonably) come her way.

And, obviously, I love Richard.

h1ppychick
19:56 / 31.05.06
So who escaped nominations, then?

Mikey and Glyn for being nonentities, Pete for being universally adored.

So who escaped nominations, then?

Mikey and Glyn for being nonentities, Pete for being universally adored. Nikki for being the house baby.

Ganesh
19:57 / 31.05.06
I missed Richard's nominations! What did he say?

He nominated Imogen because she's "the most pointless person in the House" (and because she's poured cold water on his playful relationship with Sezer) and Sezer because of his "crass vulgarity" toward females.

*wankers!*
