It's also in Neil Gaiman's Midnight Days, a collection. There's also some piss-poor Swamp Thing stories and the pretty nice Sandman Midnight Theater, the crossover with Matt Wagner's Sandman.

It is? My local library has that, and I knew it had some of the old Gaiman stuff, but I refused to check the thing out purely on principle.
/is a bit of a twat, really.

It's worth checking out for Hold Me and the Sandman/Sandman story. Wagner shares the writing, and the art is by the very talented Teddy Kristiansen. Oh, and it's almost entirely a Mystery Theater story.

Greetings to the 'shifters. Feels weird posting here when I'm not drinking.

At ease, soldiers.

Ah, I didn't know they'd reprinted that. I know I should be asking this in comics but is Mystery Theatre worth the few pounds it'd cost on Ebay? I loved Wagner on Grendel, but haven't read anything else by him.

I only read the first smt issue. It put me off, because most of the colours were brown, orange and purple.

I really liked Mystery Theater. I would go for it, were I you, especially if it's cheap. I think there's a trade with the first story arc in it. Check that out first.

OK, I'm after it. Trades of the first 4 arcs available if I'm not mistaken.

Did anyone here catch Six Feet Under?

6FU In the UK?

Saw a new series of 6Fu was starting on C4 tonight, and thought... "nah, can't be bothered as the last series was mostly tedious".

6FU could probably be improved by a few zombies though. Gay cop zombies of course.

Can you get Cop Rock on DVD?

Apparently not

I like the "customers who viewed this ultimately bought" thing- Sin City and The Muppet Show. A match made in heaven.

Managed, due to a prior engagement, to miss a zombie film evening at a friends place this weekend. If I wasn't undead, I'd be kicking myself.

I still love Six Feet Under- I know what you mean, the last season was quite slow but it ended on a high note and this is the last one so I'm definitely watching it.

Oh, GGM, you zombie film night-missing fool!

Mon Oncle Ignatius
22:47 / 16.08.05
I only watched the last 6FU series sporadically, though the serial killer (?) kidnap episode (was that the last one BTW?) what quite entertaining, it was very very silly by comparison to the earlier seasons.

If I wasn't undead, I'd be kicking myself.

In the head? With the dropped-off foot held in one hand?

alas
22:51 / 16.08.05
hey all--I'm here, off and on. Writing elaborate and carefully conceieved syllabi for my students to ignore!

Mon Oncle Ignatius

Stoatie - we really should have a zombie night soon (I know, I've been saying that since last November) but I've got Living Dead At the Manchester Morgue and Zombi awaiting a viewing here...

Wow my house has been invaded by big fuck off spiders, I've seen at least three different ones. If I put them outside would they survive?

If I put them outside would they survive?
Possibly. The microwaves the risk-free way to go.

Mon Oncle Ignatius

I guess it depends on what the weather is like outside.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

TM- that would indeed rock.

I feel like I should go to bed but I really can't be arsed.

Mon Oncle Ignatius
22:59 / 16.08.05
I would like to add Video Dead to the night - a truly awful schlocky zombie film - but it's ridiculous in this day and age to pay nearly £10 for a video cassette...

Do the undead sleep? I don't feel like I've actually slept more than 4 hours since the last lateshift.

It's gone to play in the cactus in the hall.

Jake, Colossus of Clout

I think they just go into a sort of torpor when they fill up on brains.

Mon Oncle Ignatius
23:06 / 16.08.05
I would probably go into some kind of brain-fed torpor given the opportunity right now. The matchsticks will be popping into my own brain soon once the eyelids give in, I think.

I know I haven't. Time for bed, methinks.

Goodnight, kids.

Come to think of it, I haven't either.

G'night, Stoatie

Ex-actly.
