Good news all - the book has safely arrived into my care and will be transported to Canada on January 8th.

Who's first on the list of next recipients for the book.

Has anyone updated the wiki page?

I'm guessing not as I am singularly infamiliar with the wiki page.

I have edited the wiki, because I am a colossal busybody. Sorry if it's something you were looking forward to SK!

WOW... the blue book's actually made it safly to the AMERICAS... Great job all.

Don't count chickens there. I could die in a horrible transatlantic plane accident and the pages of the wondering notebook will serve only to intrigue and entertain the denizens of Davey Jones Locker.

Does this mean the rest of us in the UK who have not yet had the book will now have to wait until after the book has been around Canada and the US?

Not specifically. There is no limit on the number of times the Blue Book can cross the Atlantic.

Besides, just at a glance, I think there's only about a dozen denizens of this continent on the list who are still active on the board.

Could someone scan the rest of the pages in once it's been passed on?

The other thing I want to say is this... if you don't recognise the person who is going to receive the book next from the board or as someone who contributes to barbelith (ie. they have 2 posts) than can you wait before sending them the book or ask in the thread if anyone else recognises them. I don't think we have any guarantee that they will ever pass it on because there's no connection to the group and it would be a shame to lose this one as well.

Anyone wishing to consider who else should get the book would be advised to check out the Policy first, specifically this page of this policy thread.

First time "posting whilst Canadian" and it's straight down to business.

The following is a list of fellow barbeCanucks who have stuck their skinny arms in the air like antenna to receive this book.

Captain Zoom
Mister Snee
Baz Auckland
moriarty
strix
Keggers
rising and revolving

First to post gets it next subject to approval by the Blue Book Approvals Committee (i.e. anyone with good reason to think you may horde it KwendeCentrale stylee.) I'd prefer a scanner owner as not all pages are up and I don't have one.

I haven't actually made my entry but thought this would be an apt time to appoint a successor.

Okey Dokey. The Canucks have lost interest in The Blue Book. Anyone other New Worlders vaguely interested or should I be shipping back to one of the old countries?

Send it down thisaway.

Have the Canucks been PM'd?

I think you should send it to Grant. He's kind of like the centre of the universe.

So: I think you should send it to sekhmet, who then uses grant’s centre-of-the-universe gravitational field to slingshot it all the way out to moonweaver. Everyone’s happy.

I am in Canada, and I'll take it, if that works? PM me if it can get sent this-a-way…

Talk to me about the blue book. Where is it now?

I really, really want this to stay on track. Everything we do like this (in the way of collaborative projects) gets lost along the way.

I so hope this isn't going to.

I guess The Seldom Killer still has the book, strapped to his handlebars, in Canada, waiting for a Canadian that was on the list and that doesn't resemble KwendeCentral to step forward?

Maybe posting it back to the UK (Lilly Nowhere was next on the list?) before KwendeCentral somehow gets this book as well would be a good plan.

I have the book.

I'm also about to leave for China in two days. This should be interesting....

Are you going to take the book with you to China? get it stamped along with your passport!!!

Let me know if you lay over in the Bay Area... have a blast.

I'm still in Oakland California awaiting this book's arrivial.

How long is grant in China?

I am unbearably tantalized by the idea that this object is only a few states east of me. Or else on the other side of the globe entirely.

Knowing grant it'll be a lightning fast trip. Still I hope he gets a passport stamp on it!

I feared the possibility of being snagged by zealous and ideologically pure customs officials. It stayed home while I went to Asia. However, I brought home lots of lovely bits and pieces for insertion.

The pop-up page, by the way, is a thing of gorgeousness.

Ta (it's mine, unless there are two). If the tiny pop-up me drops off, could you glue it back on again?

Just popping in to say I'm really enjoying following y'alls collective efforts thru this thread and am LOVING the scans in the wiki. Keep 'em coming!

Note: I'll be sending this along soon, but last night I had to help the Boy (age 12) do a final project for World Cultures class. It turned out to be a pop-up book about Chinese sports. And incorporated a color copy of someone's stick drawings & acrobat painting as part of a page on gymnastics.

This happened, by the way, with no intervention from me -- the rest of the family has been just as fascinated by the notebook as me. I just came in at the actual gluing/cutting portion, late last night, and was tickled.

I want to see these scans, but the wiki's search option has apparently died.

Scroll down front page to The Creation, click on that to the Wandering Notebook pages.
