I hate to generalise, but my thinking is this: "I have a lot of fucking money. Despite the fact I have treated my fans like shit and have NOT once led them to a Super Bowl victory, surely they will forgive me this one thing."

(I only say the Super Bowl thing because honestly, we Americans put a lot of damn stock in a sport that really is uninteresting and worthless.)

That bloody cocky grin. If I were able, I'd go invisible and shiv him.

FUCKERS. FUCKING FUCKERS.
Apparently, it's alright for you to not only not tell me when I've received what you term a "design ultimatum" over my refusing to replace the image of the lead actress with a generic blonde girl, prone, in a bikini. Moreover, it seems that it's alright for you to make these changes using a different artist on top of my design, without telling me. Because I would have been "upset". Well, I'm not upset. I am not upset at all. I am UNSPEAKABLY FUCKING INCENSED that you have done the ONE THING I specifically requested that you not do to me on this production. I am assuming that some of what the producer told me was attempting to shift blame on to the director, who I thought was a friend. If this is not the case, I have not the words to describe quite how cross I will be.

Just...fuck. Not only have I been royally shafted AGAIN, and the poster that I hoped would possibly raise a bit of interest in my work is now mutilated beyond recognition, but I now can't go to Edinburgh for the run, because my accommodation is in a house with these people. So I am homeless, arranged leave from my job for three weeks, and have been TOTALLY FUCKING BETRAYED FROM EVERY ANGLE.

fuckdamn. that is all.

I swear everyone leaves for their Dacha on the lake at weekends, here.

Withiel, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, and I hope that things pick up from their current shittiness.

Looks like Vick's in trouble.

All I can say: if that his co-defendant turns on him, then yes, it will be very bad news for him indeed. But you know what? That will be awesome!

I read this blog a lot, and it frequently fills me with the hate and the urrghitude. The fact that I am (plainly) as drunk as a bag of wasps should not obviate the fuckkitude of the following link.

PS I HATE you all and Magneto WAS right.

"Huh. And what's his/her/your reeeeaaaaallll name then?" Fuck off fuck off fuck off just FUCK OFF.

I'm not talking about the "let's UNMASK, you would use your real name online if you weren't a BULLY and a COWARD" thing (because let's face it, Cruel Internet Fate will send an explanation in the form of some troubled and easily-fixated soul their way in its own sweet time), I'm talking about the people who insist on going "haha that is not his/her/your real name" if said name seems odd or unfamiliar to them.

It's bad enough if the name in question actually is a person's assigned name, which happens to be a bit foreign or exotic-sounding to the uptight Anglo ear. What really fills me with the nails-down-the-blackboard feeling is when I know that the curiously-named person in question has changed hir name for some damn good reason and doesn't need to be poked about it. Bonus eyebleed points if I happen to know that the person is trans, and the new name reflects hir real gender. (Bonus coming round your house with a fucking axe points if you knew that too, esp. if you deliberately use the wrong pronoun, or use the right pronoun but in fucking inverted commas.)

(Granted, there are people who do go and pick bloody stupid names for themselves; nobody needs three animals, a ritual tool and a metallic element in hir name, and this should be discouraged. However, my point still stands.)

I get that often as my birthname is not usual even in this day and age of weird kid's names. It's one of the reasons the spouse and I did not take a third made up last name when we hitched our wagons but kept our own. I have used the common use option to change my middle name to 'Abominable' which rolls nicely off the tongue between my birth first and last name.

I'm fairly mad right now about people in my social group who keep telling other mutal friends 'to get over it' and 'get a thicker skin' when told their comments are hurtful. Oh and yes the repeated drunk driving and drunken piloting of motorcyles makes me teeth gnashingly unhappy.

Facebook cats, on starting a discussion about how peaceful and happy everyone is in New Zealand, and then having it suggested to them that maybe it's a different picture if you're a Maori:

1) some nations choose to be largely irrelevant. that is their choice.

2) i can't believe sporting federations don't outlaw their 'dance'.

in a clearthinking world, such exhibitions would be considered poor form, bad sportsmanship.

3) There is a direct proportion to the amount of killing your countrymen exact and peace. the faster the indigenous people are slaughtered the better.

sadly

It's that "sadly" that really tips it. I wonder if there's a "FacePoeticJustice" application.

Don't know if you've seen the news about gender disparity;

the gender pay gap could take another 78 years to close at the current rate of progress, while some minority groups may never achieve equality if current trends continue.

"deep and entrenched inequalities and unfair discrimination persist" after 40 years of anti-discrimination laws.

fucking outrageous - New Ohio abortion bill claims to be addressing the rights of the father, but...jesus.

As written, the bill would ban women from seeking an abortion without written consent from the father of the fetus. In cases where the identity of the father is unknown, women would be required to submit a list of possible fathers. The physician would be forced to conduct a paternity test from the provided list and then seek paternal permission to abort.

Claiming to not know the father's identity is not a viable excuse, according to the proposed legislation. Simply put: no father means no abortion.

...

With the proposal, men would be guaranteed that voice under penalty of law. First time violators would by tried for abortion fraud, a first degree misdemeanor. The same would be the case for men who falsely claim to be fathers and for medical workers who knowingly perform an abortion without paternal consent.

In addition, women would be required to present a police report in order to prove a pregnancy is the result of rape or incest.

That's disgusting. I'd understand if a man had the right to perhaps question an abortion, if he could prove his fatherhood and his ability to look after the child, but this...

so. i came across this story on a google group. i can't seem to verify it in the american news media - a google search on the names involved does not provide me with anything substantial. but if it can be verified then that would make it a heinous tale of religious persecution, would it not?

Dear wanker: If I politely decline your request for a pound to 'help you get to Caerleon', I would prefer you did not first respond by invading my body space with a 'friendly' embrace to say goodbye and a bullshit compliment about my tie, and then when I object to said invasion, follow me into the bus station threatening to strangle me with said tie. Thanks for caring. Yours truly, slightly shaken.

Tritely, I take the view that while I can get away from him, he can never get away from himself. And yes, it sucks to have a drug habit.

I'm fine now, as I have returned home to the welcome sight of the neighbourhood cat who likes to play in our garden (and whom my ex refers to as 'He Works for Satan' thanks to his unnervingly green eyes) and am drinking green tea, eating licorice and reading a new comic by Brandon Graham, of whom it may be said that when balancing the equation of T+A he firmly favours the A.

U.S. Air Force charge rape victim for her own attack. She was raped, reported it, didn't press charges after being put under pressure, the Air Force are now charging her with 'indecent acts' and have given her three attackers a plea bargain, if they testify against her on the 'indecent acts' charge, they get immunity should she change her mind and attempt to press charges on the sexual assault.

This goes beyond fucked up and into some strange new realm of shitcrappery.

Holy crap, Lady! That is stomach-turning.

Now, for a moment, if we just put the rape issue aside - just for a moment - aren't the three other people involved in the so-called "indecent act" also guilty?

Sexism piled on top of sexism.

Of course, it was a reported rape, which makes it over-the-top rage-worthy.
