So I feel better about that. What's the Bailiff like? I've got a Stars Of The Lid that could be good.

AND - found out today about a 4CD live set from The Necks that's due out on the 11th. I am a HAPPY, albeit poor, boy.

Roth: Yeah, I signed up to EN the day they opened it, I think. There were about 15 people on board when I coughed up the cash. But I just forget to check in with it. Listening to the Pedal Steel track right now, which is very reminiscent of Pole. I like all the new work I've heard.

The Bailiff is good. Very much like Bowery Electric in a few instances - part of that incestuous Kranky pattern. (BE's disc Beat is very good, like MBV without all the guitar.) But it has one track I quite like that's like Morricone scoring Requiem For A Dream. I'll prolly offer that one as a Boombox track, so I'll keep you posted.

Jealous about the Necks live disc that's freakin' nice. I have no cash for that sort of thing, now...

I'm up. 10:30 PM. Killing time until my bus comes. Despairing over my acoustics exam tomorrow. I can't tell if I'm just dense when it comes to this stuff or if it's just that my acoustics professor is hands down the worst teacher I've ever had in my life. But I know that he's the worst teacher I've ever had, so I might be off the hook. That doesn't make me feel much better about the fact that I'm going to utterly flunk my exam tomorrow, though....
