H was the first person to look genuinely shocked at seeing that footage.

He was the first one that didn't get the management briefing en route to the studio, I think. Which implies that they trust his emotional intelligence and his ability to react appropriately to what's presented to him.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

DAMN. I was hoping when he was asked about regrets he'd have said "that I didn't step in"... other than that, the boy done well.

It's been recently pointed out to me that Jermaine is bit like Mr Hanky, from South Park.

HfromSteps did the best out of our homegrown talent (and I use the word advisedly). Those furriners are coming over here, taking our CBB...

one of the Jacksons, Face and a beautiful tolerant educated exotic woman, compared to a couple of teen-band singers, a comedienne last in the limelight 20 years ago, a brainless bimbo, and someone who the public used to like's byfriend. There was really no contest from the get-go.

There was really no contest from the get-go.

I don't think that necessarily follows. The most famous/charismatic doesn't always win.

Ganesh
19:03 / 28.01.07
Why are they booing Shilpa? The bassturds.

h1ppychick
19:04 / 28.01.07
Maybe, although one could argue that fame (in the old sense rather than mere 'celebrity') tends to go hand-in-hand with more than your average level of charisma.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

GUTTED.

Mind you, as he's lost to either Jermaine or Shilpa, then it's not so bad.

I have to say, Danielle did that interview so much better than Jo did, fair play.

I thought she was quite winning in her conclusion that she'd learned not to be such a bitch ~ until they showed her saying exactly the same thing about a week ago.

Sure - but looking at previous CBBs, neither is a firm predictor to win.

Hope Shilpa wins now but, if she loses to Jermaine, I won't be too upset...

Dirk is every bit as rockin' in his interview as he has been everywhere else.

That's what made me think there'd been a degree of rehearsal of the "what have you learned" question, albeit implicitly.

Most entertaining interview so far, by far.

Ganesh
19:16 / 28.01.07
Nice to have an interview which wasn't structured around that same news montage.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
19:18 / 28.01.07
*sob*

I love Dirk even more now.

*sob*

That said, it's nice that Dennis and Traci's conversation last year about how a non-white person could never win CBB has been proved inaccurate.

Regrettable Juvenilia
19:19 / 28.01.07
Nice to have that kind of interview. Refreshing.

19:21 / 28.01.07
The whiny voice, the relentless, grating optimism ... Mr Hanky is possibly about to win.

h1ppychick
19:21 / 28.01.07
...not.

Ganesh
19:22 / 28.01.07
YAY SHILPA!!

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
19:22 / 28.01.07
I was saying in the pub earlier, any of Dirk, Jermaine and Shilpa would have been a result.

Shilpa's earned it, certainly.

Ganesh
19:23 / 28.01.07
On go the glasses, man in the mirrorshades...

Suspecting this may be a slightly less exuberant interview than the last one.

penitentvandal
19:23 / 28.01.07
And Shilpa wins...

Here's a thing I noticed about H coming out - he's the first guy who hasn't either walked out or been evicted as punishment for being a racist rotter. How weird is that?

h1ppychick
19:24 / 28.01.07
salaam aleikhum, dude. (spelling?)

penitentvandal
19:24 / 28.01.07
Also, nice touch in playing 'Who are you?' over Jack's footage...

Ganesh
19:24 / 28.01.07
Wonder if Jermajesty's in the audience?

h1ppychick
19:25 / 28.01.07
take the glasses off. we know what you look like.

penitentvandal
19:27 / 28.01.07
Yeah, but you can see Davina in his shades! That's kind of cool, surely?

h1ppychick
19:28 / 28.01.07
it's like the training session from The Mystery Men.

h1ppychick
19:29 / 28.01.07
the cameraman picked it up too, niiiiice!

miss wonderstarr
19:36 / 28.01.07
Gosh, I felt he looked amazing and came across as incredibly nice and (as they all keep saying) "grounded". Michael Jackson could look that good, in theory.

I don't know, is it crass to say that Jermaine Jackson is one of the few public figures recently who's made Islam look like a positive influence?

penitentvandal
19:39 / 28.01.07
STOP BOOING YOU RACIST BASTARDS

That is all.

Ganesh
19:40 / 28.01.07
Bit disappointed that Shilpa's getting booed. What the fuck has she done to deserve that?

penitentvandal
19:41 / 28.01.07

Let's not forget committed, Ramadan-observing Muslim Jackiey Budden, of course.
