Jack: the Joker gives the classic laughter in the quick shot of him driving the truck.
but the scene with the "evening, cooommmissioner" line followed by that close up with him all roughed up gave me the chills; I dunno if it was the recent Morrison prose comic but you can feel that is one crazy person, multiple chaotic thought processes taking place right that instant behind the flaking make-up.
THAT is the Joker. i'm totally sold, who would have known some pages back in this thread?
sure, the preview bits with the mob bank manager, the grenade and the line about honour *were* forced [we've yet to see properly if he guy had his hands tied or not], but the payoff was worth it: the Joker pun and the homage to the 60's series - in the gas grenade and the rubber masks they wore. |
