I wonder if the people in charge of Gitmo are taking notes from endermol

Nikki- so hungry. So angry. So hungry.

Wow, Savage Nikki just needs some warpaint and she'd be like something from L*rd *f th*e Fl**s.

I loved Mikey in the diary room, saying the difference between Grace and Aisleyne was that Grace doesn't need cosmetics to look good, as BB cuts to shot of Grace smothering on the slap by the necessary bucketload in the bedroom. Hehe.

Kind of a half welsh half random slang hybrid.

Loved the pan onto Nikki's face just before the third horn is blown.

NIKKI SMASH!

Susy's smile after Grace's reading said it all: "Do what you want Grace, I'll still be here next week."

They all know they've failed the task already, so why keep up the pretense?

Xoc: I loved Mikey in the diary room, saying the difference between Grace and Aisleyne was that Grace doesn't need cosmetics to look good

I kept wanting Big Brother to say "Has it occured to you, Mikey, that you think that because you are going out with Grace. And you are not going out with Aisleyne."

Well quite. I'd love Big Brother to overtly call housemates on their crap occaisionally...

why keep up the pretense?

I ask this every year and finally in series 7 I've realised that it's just too boring in there if you don't have a task.

Aisleyne and Richard's conversation about bitching just now was very topical and really quite cool, wasn't it?

Richard: "Me saying wossername is an acidic little troll was slightly bitchy". Bless.

Possibly hoping they'll get something as a reward for continuing.

Now...what was that teaser before the break? Is that Grace and Mikey (to coin the phrase used in Screen Burn about BB last year) rutting like doomed livestock?

Ahh, ain't it romantual?

Or perhaps just have a slappy hand on a long stick, which can be extended from the Diary Room camera to punctuate especially self-regarding monologues (like Grace's Martin Bashir Panorama interview this evening) with a spot of repeat-to-fade slappiness.

Grace has been teaching a dance class for the last FIFTY ONE MINUTES.

Anna, I now see a little more what you mean about it being boring in there.

Ahh, ain't it romantual?

Ain't it an act of desperation as eviction draws closer? As you say, doomed livestock.

My diet plan for Nikki:

9am- Fried breakfast: bacon, sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, tomato, egg, baked beans, hash browns, fried bread.

11am- elevenses: 5 mars bars and slice of bakewell tart.

1pm- lunch: a club sandwich, 3 slices of white bread, butter, chicken, bacon, cheese, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato.

4pm- afternoon tea: a slice of lemon drizzle cake, cup of tea and a packet of jaffa cakes.

7pm- dinner: deep fried, battered fish and chips.

I think this would help her.

Day 47. Force-feeding of Nikki continues despite her losing conciousness.

What was that someone said about Guantanamo?

Just remember to wipe the nasogastric tube between Dawn and Nikki, hmm?

I'm fascinated by Richard, he's many roles in one man isn't he? His little conversation with Nikki about being a "nice person" was extremely fatherly, helping her to give her own answers by asking her pertinent questions.

"And are you a nice person?"
"But hiding the champagne wasn't very nice was it?"

All said very kindly and without confrontation.

Ganesh
20:21 / 14.06.06
Considering he received the verbal equivalent of tarring and feathering for hiding alcohol, I thought Richard was relatively restrained. A tad patronising, perhaps, but restrained.

Olulabelle
20:43 / 14.06.06
Yes I think to you (and me now you point it out) he would have appeared patronising, but in no way did Nikki respond as if she felt patronised, she responded as if she was a naughty little girl being caught out by her father.

So perhaps Richard's approach was the correct one to use with Nikki?

It's interesting. Is someone being patronising if the person being spoken to does not feel patronised?

He seemed to be mimicking her speech patterns to me.

I can't be Ganesh, isn't he Haus' rogue left brain??

I had just been thinking about Nikki previously with regard to accommodation theory and over-enunciation of words with a view to social distanciation (given her class war with Grace and it obviously being a sore point with her generally). I fear I might have been wrong on that one but just wanted to jump up and down in class cause I knew what something was.

I kind of like the irony in the fact that, whatever Mikey and Grace were doing under the duvet is precisely the sort of thing Grace has consistently railed against when being derogatory towards other women in the house. ("She's a slut/ghetto ho" etc.)

OOooh, can't wait to watch her walk outta there on Friday!!!

Evil Scientist
07:48 / 15.06.06
I got a message from someone in China today. They were walking along and suddenly the ground in front of them burst open and this English girl climbed out.

Turned out Grace had been digging herself a hole and didn't know when to stop.

When (not if, let's be positive) Grace goes does anyone reckon Team:Hollyoaks is going to throttle back on the venom at all? I noticed last night that Imogen is interacting a bit more with the non-Hollyoaks (and apparently Grace has noticed it too).

Will Mikey show an ability to shrug off Grace's eviction, or will he try and avenge her? Or will the White Queen's frosty charms overcome him?

Aisleyne says that the Witless Welsh Wannabe is flirting and holding hands with Mikey and being a "man-tief", which is Bad, but herself admitted at the Golden Dinner to having had several (implied erotic) dreams about Mikey. What's a girl to do?

Regrettable Juvenilia
08:28 / 15.06.06
But as Richard then said, admitting he'd had "the Mikey dream" too, having erotic dreams about one of the few people you're cooped up with is hardly an indication of serious intent towards them...

Evil Scientist
08:39 / 15.06.06
She did also say at that meal that she wouldn't try to pull Mikey because she wasn't a man-thief.

Whether that was genuine or not remains to be seen. But her comments on Mikey flirting/making a move on Imogen once Grace goes may indicate her deciding not to go the coupling route. She's a fairly canny girl and seems to get that the primary factor in BB is public opinion rather than housemate opinion.

Blergh! What's all this soap-opera speculation I'm doing? That's not why I watch BB! I want blood! Blood for the Blood-God!

So perhaps Richard's approach was the correct one to use with Nikki?

Quite possibly. She certainly didn't seem to feel patronised, as you say.

It's interesting. Is someone being patronising if the person being spoken to does not feel patronised?

I dunno. When Richard had his one-to-one meal with Imogen, I thought he was a bit patronising then too. Whether Imogen thought so or not, I don't know; she was sneery after the event, with her fellow Paranoia Bombs, but I've no idea whether she felt patronised.

Well this suggests that Aisleyne's not going to be batting her eyelids a Mikey just yet. More likely she'll just snap him over one diamondform knee.

15:14 / 15.06.06
I kept wanting Big Brother to say "Has it occured to you, Mikey, that you think that because you are going out with Grace. And you are not going out with Aisleyne."

I think the answer is that nothing was occurring to him per se. He was just responding to his programming. I thought Grace's Hollyoaks diary room performance was even better. Subtext: "Mikey and I are INSEPARABLE at the moment and if you go I'll be so sad so don't let me parted from my beloved... what's his name again?"

To evict Grace call 09011 32 33 05 or text GRACE to 84444
