Yotsuba & Benjamin!
22:53 / 14.12.05
DAMN I want to read that next page so bad!

Aertho
23:51 / 14.12.05
So Lance Harrower was supposed to be the Seventh Soldier from Zero? The one with "cold feet"?

LDones
01:57 / 15.12.05
There's nothing to that effect in the preview, but it's sure a possibility.

Do wives have to make up for the sins of their husbands? Let's ask Gloriana and Mrs. Klarion.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:16 / 15.12.05
I'm not sure Mrs. Klarion can talk, seeing as she tried to burn her own son at the stake...

LDones
02:25 / 15.12.05
"Even mothers make mistakes..."

Keith, like a scientist
02:37 / 15.12.05
wow, i have to re-read Zero again, because I didn't quite get the stuff about Luke-Spider. Or is that new information?

too bad my lil theory about Lil Hollywood being the old/young girl from Zatanna has been shot down.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:41 / 15.12.05
It's new info about the Spyder. I was given to understand that the Shade had killed Spyder's brother, in his long-standing tradition of killing Ludlows; I'm still hoping he's somehow referenced in SS#1.

I could see it as possible that the Spyder took the job to find the Seven Unknown Men in Slaughter Swamp because of it's connection to Solomon Grundy's origins, Grundy being a past associate of the Shade's, and therefore a possible connection for finding and killing him. Only, of course, he got swept up into an epic and was transformed...

Aertho
22:51 / 15.12.05
Alix was the Seventh Soldier from ZERO.

Imaginary Mongoose Solutions
23:35 / 15.12.05
Gawwwwww damn! That's awesome.

Mario
23:42 / 15.12.05
That fits so beautifully....

Quimper
13:25 / 16.12.05
Holy cow!

This Sunday
13:49 / 16.12.05
Unthrown spears are fun.
Maybe Frank'll fastball special our lovely phallic superwoman to victory?
The one-issue capper is going have a lot to answer for, running in the hyperfast jumpcut-the-info manner most Morrison series climax with, but in a oneshot....

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
03:45 / 17.12.05
Betting the smartskin makes Alix invulnerable to spine-riders.

Aertho
12:32 / 17.12.05
Betting the smartskin is what prevented her from going on the plane to Arizona.

Triplets
14:35 / 17.12.05
Skin as familiar/sidekick/conscience? I like it.

Kirk Ultra
21:41 / 17.12.05
I can't help but wonder how close the symbolism will be between the smartskin and the magic mirror from The Invisibles.

Aertho
22:16 / 17.12.05
Huh? I could entertain an understanding of what you mean, but? Both are silver? Both have sentient qualities?

Smartskin's an important aspect of Alix, and not something we've examined much. What are you thinking, Kirk?

Yotsuba & Benjamin!
14:24 / 21.12.05
Just a quick note. Bulleteer #1 now officially takes place before SS #0.

Also, pretty much everything about the entire series is laid bare. And I have to go back and read Klarion #3. Morrison, you diabolical...

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
14:25 / 21.12.05
Getting this after work. More giddy about it than I was about #1.

Aertho
20:45 / 21.12.05
Holy cats. All the Seven Soldiers lore is being wrapped up here. I shouldn't have expected less really, but the retrofit of Iron Hand and Boy Blue and the his horn and Neb-U-Loh and Sheeda... and werewolves!

Boy Blue, named Drew.

Get Klarion 3 and Zero out folks.

Aertho
21:00 / 21.12.05
And Sky High Hell Again calls it: Sidhe from the future.

Mario
23:36 / 21.12.05
I wonder...could Blue's horn be one of the Seven Treasures?

Mario
23:39 / 21.12.05
Oh yes, and Drew isn't Boy Blue's name. It's the verb in that sentence.

Mario
10:56 / 22.12.05
Furthermore, it looks like the Black Baron and Big Caesar are both old Vigilante villains. I would assume "Little Joe Goss" is the same.

Quimper
11:33 / 22.12.05
Damn. You gotta love Sky High Helligan. Pieces it together at the buzzer.

And who knew she had to get to the wedding to *stop* it.

And...uh...what's up with Sara? Such a mad-on already.

Mario
12:05 / 22.12.05
Sara=Sonic Sally?

The Natural Way
13:53 / 22.12.05
Clearly.

Aertho
13:56 / 22.12.05
Sally Sonic, 50s British Superteen. Are there any references for such a character in the DCU?

Quimper
14:28 / 22.12.05
Only in Zatanna #1. I'm assuming that's Sally Sonic...the immortal 16-year old from the therapy group.

But according to the solicitations, Sally Sonic is an embittered British superteen from the 1940s. So she's one and the same.

Aertho
14:32 / 22.12.05
Well yes, I'm familiar with the girl's quotes and scenes from 7S, but I'm wondering if Sally Sonic is an actual reclaimed property from the past, ie Zod, etc.

Mario
16:02 / 22.12.05
Not as far as I can tell. Given that she's British, I thought she might be related to the Sally comic put out by IPC in the late 60's & 70's. But I can't find an analogue

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
22:47 / 22.12.05
Wow! Finally got the chance to read this. Helligan again! Neb-u-loh's connection to the original Nebula Man, what this all means...what the connection to the original Seven Soldiers is. An' dirty little Boy Blue - was that the secret use of the horn, to summon the Riders?

Spaniel
13:25 / 23.12.05
Er, yeah.

Mark Parsons
17:50 / 23.12.05
Now THAT'S a cool issue! I tought ish 1 was a tad thin & dissapointing after all that had come b4 it, but am now psyched for this series again. Alas, MM has inherited the mantle of "dubious potential dog" amongst the 7S titles. Fingers crossed for an upturn there too...

Imaginary Mongoose Solutions
13:27 / 26.12.05
So, did the Vigilante or the original Seven Soldiers have a thing with Werewolves? Because while I really dug this ish, that whole Werewolf thing came from out of the blue for me.
