Macgyver,
everyone I've spoken to seems ok. I spoke to Beauchamp who told me Harrison is sleeping, sis is ok etc no word from Buckley- but as everything seems to have been central and city based i'm assuming he's ok- being in south london? will try calling him shortly...
smoothly- i'm in my office (Dean Street) at the mo so i don't know about CX road- Tottenham court road was still open though when i got into work at around 10.50 - so I'm assuming that its still open. However with the amount of bomb scares going on i wouldn't be suprised if certain areas get cordened off/ roads get shut- I may potter over there in a bit when i go out to get lunch.
Its raining in a way only england can- in a constant slow grey drizzle, which adds to the depressing state of mind.
Half the office hasn't turned up, the director that i'm supposed to be working with is staying at home- but the workaholics insist we soldier on. I think i'm going to try to lead a breakout for a long pub lunch. its too fucking depressing here.
Denfield- you were asking how good a target they were.. Well in terms of casualtys and business the tubes are pretty much essential- london is a very overcrowded city and the tube system is famously shit/ overcrowded.
Once the tubes shut everyone jumped on the buses leading to them being seriously over crowded (outside Kentish town station i estimate there where around 300-400 people waiting for a bus) the buses that i saw were'nt stopping anymore as they were rammed to capacity- which means people standing through out the bus- I could see people standing on the top floor of many of the buses which isn't normally allowed- i hope i'm not seen as being alarmist but i think that the casualties will be huge... |
