This error (the post in question) was originaly mine and I have tried twice now to sort it out. I wrote a long detiled explanation and have even tried to editorial responses to change that post accordingly. All I have received back are insults and questions about my integrity. CAN YOU NOT SEE THIS IS WONG?

If not...

Why are you blocking my "request"? I have explained clearly and edited accordingly. What's YOUR problem? (note: can moderators approve their own reequests?)

PW I don't think anyone quite knows what to do for the best now, you've behaved so oddly about this post deletion. Can you not see this is crazy-silly? It's really not worth alienating yourself over anymore than you already have is it? The irony is, the new moderation is actually not too bad - it removed the details of the parent's accent, on the basis of which you would have to be on crack to think one could determine the identity of the individual but let that pass, while leaving in the incomprehensible bit about the "little angel" and the "are you calling me a racist" tomfoolery.

However, at this point, the moderation action has essentially become a toxic issue, where approving it will reassure PW that he is entitled to bully the board to get his own way. I would probably, myself, suggest that in the interests of principle somebody disagrees this request and PW resubmits it with a more polite reason, in the hope of encouraging good behaviour.

PW, can you resubmit it without the contentious bit in the reason box? Then I am sure your edit will go through, you'll be happy that your friend is protected, and we'll be happy that the thread is still in tact as it should be but no-one will feel you've bullied them into agreeing a moderation request. XYZ id mixed race: half African decent; half European decent.

Here's where it gets REALLY interesting (regarding identity). XYZ had a child nine years ago with a white person: a beautiful little baby girl: a white, curly blonde-haired, blue-eyed little bundle of joy.

Here's the problem, when XYZ takes hir daughter out in the wider public world, people just can't believe it's hir child.

"But...but...you're...and....she's...."

Understandably, this winds - hir - the - fuck - up. Why? Because people are faaaaar too black and white when they think about race and society. They assume too much.

As XYZ's child grow's, ze is still making hir daughter "black aware"; ze is still teaching hir about hir ancestral history and the many appalling events which started the big racist, anti-black, ball rolling. And I believe ze is right to do so.

But guess what? When hir daughter becomes a teenager and an adult and starts talking to different people of different "demographics" about (say) racism and prejudice, what do you think some people are likely to say to this white, blonde, blue-eyed angel (for she IS an angel, trust me)? Do you think they'll say,

"What do you know? You're white... and you're good looking...are you gay?...."

Think about this for a while, before you start suggesting more "isms", yeah?
