I personally don't have so much of a problem with fuckpig as it's not gender specific and is basically just a horrible name.
I think it's from Garth Ennis' second run of Preacher, I think. Feelings of uneasiness with it in this instance could be traced to the frequent likening of Jade to a pig during her first stint on Big Brother, before the tabs realised they had misjudged the mood the other way, which fed weirdly into her mixed-race origins, and to the sexual license which was also referred to earlier with the references to her being fucked behind the octopus ride by fairground folk.
Generally, what disquieted me about some of the comments made to the Big Brother thread was not misogyny per se, but vehemence - I mean, actual Nazis were getting an easier ride than she was, and at far less length. |
