Pratchett, Rankin, Holte, Adams, Fforde (?) - product authors? And the Capsule library?
Is there a monolithic group of authors with a precise and highly similar appeal, such as Adams, Pratchett and Robert Rankin? Who else fits into this category? Douglas Adams? Fforde? Thomas Holte? Piers Anthony?
How do authors like this differ from and resemble each other? If somebody likes the Discworld, would the "Myth-takes" series be a good bet?
Can you guess form one book what other authors a person will like, in what genres? And with how much accuracy?

Let's examine the relationship that exists between sci-fi and faith. Should speculative fiction allow for the possibility of God considering its definition? Science fiction is primarily written by authors of a scientific persuasion; these scientific-y people are often atheists or agnostics.
