Unless Zuluwarrior starts making advances again, I think we should avoid starting anything with them. If I recall correctly he got very little from the last round of attacks (besides a retaliation from Quantum), and may move on to easier targets. In general it's going to be much more beneficial for us to focus on unaligned, inactive, or semi-active players. I can see from the alliance reports that a number of us are going on the offensive using this technique, and it can pay off quickly!
At this stage of the game, villages that aren't being played much will build up way more resources than active ones. Also, since troops are fairly limited compared to resource production we're better off not losing them. I'd highly recommend that everyone try to develop your spy unit (pathfinder, scout, or equites legati) - they let you check people out and can also prevent others from spying on you. They're easier for Teutons to research, but that means that most Romans or Gauls under pop 100 or so probably won't have them. |
