Actually, while I'm around this thread and it's on a (very faintly) techy note, I'd like to ask a boring question about printers.
As in, what exactly is wrong with them?
It seems every printer I own quickly develops the same problem: a tendency to do that lines-across-the-page thing which the maintenance pages always say means the nozzles need cleaning, but with varying results upon actually cleaning the nozzles, and with this happening so regularly that it's a problem most of the time.
Am I just incredibly unlucky with printers? Is it a problem with non-brand-name ink cartridges? If it's the latter, where should I get cartridges from? My default is to just find the cheapest on eBay; an extra 50% on top of this would easily be worth it if it stopped the problems, but the price of the actual brand name ones put them out of the question altogether. |
