Are you daft? No shiv can deflect the impending decimation of a canon! Its a canonball! That makes as much sense as trying to deflect a metal bowling ball with a small home-made knife!
Hello again.
I just watched Driller Killer (which, as a lover of horror movies, it's always been a bit of a problem that I've never seen it). It was a bit poo (and SO not worth waiting that many years), really, although the last scene was very good. Hasn't really done anything to change my perception of Abel Ferrara as the worst director in the world, though. It was, however, a million times better than Bad Lieutenant.
Oh... back on topic and all that...
don't trust cats. EVER. They're cool, but untrustworthy. Believe me on this. BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE...
Stoat - I totally agree on Driller Killer. Load of fuss over nowt.
I watched Bad Lieutenant on acid comedown once. By the time it got to images of Christ screaming on the cross and a crying bollock naked Keitel, off it went.
King Of Noo Yawk is great though. Features some of Christopher Walken's biggest ever hair.
Melundreen: Perhaps I want to learn (greek?) before taking you on. Or at least trying to read diagrams. For all I know that could be an image of the earth core. Is that it? Are you summmoming the Morlocks? I will see your sub-terrainian menace and counter with...mimes!!!
Stoatie: I have only downloaded about 3 or four songs. They're great. I put them on a mix with Hope Sandoval when I wanna get real mellow.
Plot? Who cares about the plot? It kinda reminds me of a time when I was watching it pretty much every. single. day with my lunatic skinhead friend who has since vanished from the face of the earth. I hope he joined the circus or something nice.
I like the credit sequence best, actually. When he’s in the car, driving into the city. I’ve never seen any other skyline shot look quite like that, like the backbone of a sleeping dinosaur.
That and Walken’s hair, blah blah, 'what's in the cup,' blah blah David Caruso's best man's speech, blah.
As I say, I was hammered. And I'd just seen "In The Line Of Duty: Ambush In Waco". Also not very good (in fact a lot worse), but for some reason a film that made a huge impression on me (possibly to do with my Koresh obsession at the time.)
See, there're REASONS why I try not to watch telly.
I'm in the student center and it's starting to rain REAL hard (I think there's hail too!!!!) and I really want to go for a walk, but I have no one to watch my laptop while I'm out. Damn Damn Damn.
Helloz. I am the Charrrrells. Really. You don't believe me?
Turns out I know the girl running the office tonight, so I stashed my craptop in there. Now I'm slowly dripping on the keyboard and soaking the couch cushion (property of the college, of course). Crap, except I think my shirt is dry-clean only.
Ah well, still a beautiful start to a night of crawling the 'lith instead of reading for class.
Far too many things. At the moment, I'm not reading chapter 12 (Correctional Psychology in Adult Settings) of my forensic psych textbook. Later, I won't read Kant.
