DK2 isn't terribly good, is it? Always reminds me of sitting on the train from London Bridge to Streatham. Don't get too much gloomier than that.

Moving at work can be such a bitch at any scale. How big's the place you're both at?

I'm working on trying to upload a pic of the targeted spotlights in the meantime.

It's not so much the move itself, it's the crappy computer system we're going to have to use. For which the technical term is, I believe, "crappy". Ah fuck it, there'll be lots of overtime in it for us. Possibly not much in the way of sleep, however.

Brigade du jour

Plus we won't be allowed to use our computer CD players. And the people in charge are Nazi cunthead motherfucking pricks. So to speak.

Couple of fucking boneheads decided to get in a fistfight on my landing. I'm all pissed off and I can't sleep. Who's up?

Here are the spotlights in question...

It's in front of a shitty bar where the blue on the front of the building is painted over marble. Only in Philly. Good thing is that the place goes through new ownership every 3 months. The bastards deserve it!

Those really do need the Bat signal.

Do it.
Do it NOW!!!

And we won't say a word to Mister Funny.

No music at work, and you've got fist-fights? Damn. Two different situations that can link together on some level come to think of it.

I've been too busy to listen too much in work (I've also been co-opted for most of the tech workings at the office), but I can at least listen to some Bowie and old Beck here and there.

Unless I were to destroy my cat's cardboard house, I'm not sure if I have the materials. The lil' man might not be too happy.

I dare not lie and try to slip by some photo-shopping in either.

What would be the best way to affix a bat signal to a searchlight? Should one use spraypaint, or would it make more sense to cut out a cardboard outline and stick it in place with gaffer-tape?

Or a tarpaulin of suitable opacity.

Oh, come on. You must have a cereal box or two knocking about.

(Whoah. This is like Blue Peter by remote control.)

I doubt that a cereal box would give adequate coverage or durability.

Spraypaint would definitely lead to an expensive night more suited for a bar tab. But it would be the best. It would have to be adhesive on the bottom of the stencil, but the lamp heat combined with the wet surface from the rain might be a bit much.

Ladles and germs, I shall love ya and leave ya. I have work to be getting on with and an incipient headache. Peace and lurve to y'all.

Maybe I can get the guy down the hall involved. He might sucker me away for a drink though. I would also need proper footage. Hmmm...

My god... the bar's singing Sweet Caroline... again!?!

'night brigade.

Weather from the NWS...

winds SSW at 10 to 20mph with intermittent thunderstorms... they might pass.

In other words, perfect Batman weather but not completely practical to start carving @ 11:15 est

It seems to be be between 5-6 ft across, I believe.

Now the bastards are singing Bon Jovi.

... just got off the phone with the guy down the hall. I'm not sure what's developing here.

Well... I'm sure someone will do this again and I could pre-plan a bit. It's just the guerilla part of the process is so enticing.

That's actually a reason why I work at the place I do. When I'm not dealing with manufactured crisis and politics, I can help be a part of setting up guerilla events and other things of that nature.

Outside of work, this guy (that I brought up just before) and I might be doing an underground DJ/VJ linked art event in celebration of a video game I've been a fan of recently. Just need to keep motivated.

Hey, Baz! Sorry I couldn't make it out last night... fuck the work/life balance, I'm having problems with the work/sleep balance.
What time's your flight?

Baz Auckland

Hi Mordant! Things are good, but tiring... and you? (aside from being woken by a fistfight...)

Stoatie, no worries. I appreciate the need for sleep. The flight's at 1130 or so, so I have until 9 to leave for Gatwick... at least Ill be able to sleep on he flight.

How's work going tonight?
