Only I asked for a stupid pointless post I made in conversation to be deleted but for some reason it wasn't and yet nobody has PM'd me to tell me why. It's not even like anyone replied to it or anything.

I didn't want to rot the thread, but looking at Lurid Archive's dissatisfaction with DEDI's contribution here, I'd like to flag that if nobody objects I am going to start moving offtopic posts of DEDI's in the Head Shop for deletion. He seems to have a bit of an issue with offtopic posting perpendicular to the subject of the thread, and I hope by doing this to prevent the kind of negative feedback that might hinder him from engaging with the board, as has been requested by MC elsewhere.

I presume there's some way to see if a suit's been used recently? If either Lionheart or Enamon haven't contributed to any other threads in recent history then it's pretty clear they're just re-activating their suits for a scuffle. If that is the case then I'm in full support of a move to begin procedings to get rid of them.

I would prefer suggest that his comments be edited to something like 'Content-free and offensive post removed' rather than deleted but seeing as arguments about DEDI's behaviour have been had before do we in fact need to add him to the bannination discussion instead?

In case Dedi is reading this, I'd also like to mention that every time he does this I get a little more insanely pissed off with him. When we went through YourMumGate I was reading him as a perhaps not very socially adept person who'd got a drastically weird idea of acceptable conduct based on the kinds of places he was used to interacting. I thought that despite his obvious problems he might have something to offer to the board, and took him at his word when he apologised and acted like he was going to get his act together. This whole re-emerging in a flurry of offtopic posts and general shit-stirring? Really nice way to say thank-you. Secret fecking codes? And for the love of Zombie Jesus, comedy Italian accents? You can bet I'll be a damn sight less forgiving of the next jackass.

I wondered if Dedi just popped back for a bit to advertise his Yahoo group? As he seems to have no disappeared again (mind you, not checking Barbelith with the insane regularity which all of us do might well be a point in his favour). Personally, I don't think he's said anything hugely annoying or deliberately offensive (ymmv) this time around, but rather when he posts he seems he doesn't want to engage much in a two way discussion. He'd get more out of the board if he did.

BTW no one had any objection to the Yahoo group as it was free, though I'd imagine it led to whatever branch of the Golden Dawn he's connected with.

I do have reservations about people heavily involved in the more "politcal" side of founding orders and so forth, and the attendant strife that inevitably accompanies them - rather than letting fraternity/sorority arise naturally out of one's practice and need for share it with people, but it would be unfair to pin any of these things on him, as he's never talked about his motivations etc.

Just to be clear - I haven't been offended or insulted by it - it's just a bit distracting, for him as well I imagine, and it might be worth tidying to avoid people getting pulled into talking about him rather than the topic (or indeed feeling annoyed at something offtopic, which then makes other things, like the Italian accent, which I assume was a direct quote, seem more irksome)... It's a kind of leg brace approach.

i can't find any other place to ask several mods about this at once but apologies if there is somewhere else and i just can't see it.

i was wondering about starting a thread for London - specifically the psychogeography of the place and tips for hidden wonders and lost corners, if it proves useful then there might be ones for other cities. has this been done before? i can't find one, and if not what forum might it fit into? many thanks.

This has cropped up in the past. It's a glitch.

The other thing that happens is you get mod requests with no link to the job. What I usually do in that case is go into Veiw Page Source and sniff around; it's often possible to find the link that way.
