Well, deleting individual posts would be more effective than deleting threads if you're actually serious about doing this thing. Never mind about google, at the moment a deleted thread can still be linked to directly, and a wikipage that's nothing more than an index of links can always be recovered and copied and used as an index, whatever form we edit it into.
Which is to say, all Fetch would have to do is host the *index* somewhere other than barbelith, and it'd still work for him perfectly well. Since there's an index, and since it's on the wiki, then it makes no difference, effectively, whether you now 'delete' those threads or not.
It'll take longer to delete his posts individually, but I think it's the only way to get it off barbelith, or, rather, to put that content somewhere where it's inaccessable. If that's what you want to do. I can't make sense of any of his threads, so I can't really do anything to assess whether it'll be worth the effort of getting rid of them. But that's one of the questions here. |
