Some fun tidbits from Newsarama's coverage of the big convention this past weekend: (I had heard the story of Rourke getting Marv's walk, but didn't hear the bit where Rourke explains what inspired the walk)
>> Asked for any specific memories of working with the actors, Miller said that one day during film, Mickey Rourke came up to him, excitedly, and told him he had just figured out how Marv walked, and if Miller would like to see it. Miller said yes, and Rourke walked away from him 15 feet, and then back, in perfect Marc rhythm and cadence.
“I was flabbergasted,” Miller said. “I looked at him, and said, ‘Where were you ten years ago when I was drawing this?’”
Rourke said that he’d learned the walk from Irish terrorists who he’d come to know in his travels.
And finally, on the question of Sin City 2, Miller said that he’s currently finishing the script, and both he and Rodriguez are hoping to start shooting in either May or June. As for what the story for the sequel will be, the weekend’s convention buzz and reports have 'A Dame to Kill For' as a lock, and most likely a new story with Nancy Callahan, set after 'That Yellow Bastard.' |
