Just watched season 1-5 in about 2 week span, was very happy i was able to avoid all talk and spoilers this whole time.
season 1 was kinda neat at some point your like wtf, these guys all suck, some real bastards on this island. torturers, conmen, gangsters.
I hate Jack. As every season went by he got worse and worse. I don't think he is a good person at all, he is just really good at doing spinal surgery, and even in the beginning when he was trying to lead and organize i think it was mostly just his "need to fix things" compulsion, like when serial killers will sometimes stop crimes just for the adrenaline rush. Nice job being a jealous freak and having your pops fall off the wagon Jack you boring schlub.
Loved Jin and Sun. Great characters, at the beginning of season 5 i thought Sun was maybe going to play a bigger part and maybe give Ben and Whitmore a run for their money, thought that all her lying flashbacks and stuff, also when she talked to Jin's mother, may have been showing that she was gonna be a badass once she took over her pop's co. Guess not though.
Hugo is the man. Saw some people say he was a lil slow on the uptake, but I disagree, he is one of the most normal of that bunch. Also one of the few good guys left. Love the fam stuff w Cheech and the mother.
Saywer started out as, 'oh man i gotta pay attn to this guy cuz obv they want him as a main character but hes just meh', but he started growing on me and i think hes got better and better as the seasons have gone on.
Sayid is awesome. Iraqi James Bond shooting kids and knowing his soul is damned. Good stuff.
Ben Linus is awesome, hope he does some stuff in the last season and isnt just in the background.
Locke is kind of annoying. He starts off fucking solid, hunter tracker badass. But he goes emo and starts showing his daddy issues a lot and never seems to get back on track. Kept waiting season after season for him to become the man, and he finally does it in the last cpl episodes of season 5, and come to find out it might not even be him.
Speaking of, is it a shadow monster dupe, or is it John Locke possessed by the nemesis, or has mjhohn locke been this dude all along reincarnation? thats why he always kinda knew random shit no one else did, like when it would rain, wehgre the island wanted him to go, and why he was an emotional mess, maybe he wasn't whole the enitre time?
I enjoyed the series a lot but it seems when i try to talk about it w people, most of them gave up around season 3 or 4, watching in one big blockl prob helped me i guess |
