Does. She really needs to go into a facility but has always said she didn't want to. I don't know. He's been taking care of her for his entire adult life, sine he was about seventeen (he's 31 now), and the situation's very messed up.
Plus, it doesn't help that everyone around him automatically feels the need to express our opinions, concerns, and suggestions to him, whether or not he wants them. It's really hard not to go into overprotective boyfriend mode and smother him, and our friends are all acting in similar ways. It's stupid.
Not to mention our other friend, who has been denied working papers to stay in Canada based on a technicality, and is looking at even more distance time spent doing a distance relationship.
