Not sure about the TV series (although it could happen, if anyone can bear to work with her for long enough) but as far as the red-tops go, Charley's probably a keeper for at least the next year. There'll be the night club punch-ups, the mysterious absences from the public eye, the chat show appearances and so on. And her 'autobiography' will be out by Christmas, and it'll sell pretty decently, because it will the ideal present for family members who it's otherwise difficult to buy anything for, because they don't seem to like anything much. Certainly, I'm expecting to receive at least one copy myself.
On the plus side, she'll be easy enough to ignore.
Gutted about the new people though. If Endemol had started off with this lot instead of some of the dead wood it's been carrying for the last nine weeks, then watching the show might still have been harrowing, yes, but in a more uplifting way. As it is, what was the point of Nicky, for example; what's the use of Tracey, and why was Seany allowed anywhere near the BB house, when they could have put at least a few of these colourful eccentrics in there instead? |
