Triplettes!!!

Hi.

I misread "moths" as "monks" and pictured your room filling up with Jawas, even though jawas aren't technicaly monks.

Im good. Really good.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
00:34 / 12.06.06
I'm cooking! Prawns & snapper with mushrooms, onions, garlic and green peppers.

Saint Keggers
00:38 / 12.06.06
That sounds delicious.

Now you've made me hungry.

They could be nuns, though. I had to go a-trawling for that (uber-geek!)

Where's the goodness coming from Don Keggerlone?

My happy is coming (back) on Thursday after what feels like an age away. Woo woo!

The good is comic from the fact that I just tasted the lasted batch of wine and it is amazing. After the pear wine fiasco and the rather lacklustre red wine I quite pleased that I dont have to give up my wine making hat.

That should read "The goodness is comiing from the fact..."

Typing skills not the best this evening.

I know, the little propellor on the top looks fabulous.

I'm not really a wine drinker, not because of distaste but rarely have opportunity to drink the stuff (due to age not many weddings or births happening - yet). There's my office leaving do coming up sometime soon, so there's still hope. Is it easy to make your own stuff, given three chances?

Ello, Papers. Rare to see you outside of Comics!

Fairly easy if you use a wine kit as I usually do. It takes 4 weeks to make and as long as you follow instructions and keep everything clean it's pretty easy. But its a two person job.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:11 / 12.06.06
Usually, when making your own wine, admit that you may have to sacrifice your first batch. Our plum wine was very quickly plum vinegar down the drain. But the second batch was great.

Well, it was okay. The second rule is that sulphates=bad, and if you can do it without them, you'll suffer less spectacular hangovers as many people seem to have a sulphate allergy.

Yeah, I rarely stray from the Comics these days, not sure why. Although I like Late Shift because - well. It's 7:00pm here and the sun's still high in the sky. It's the early shift for me.

The first few batches I made turned out great. Its really only been the hast few years that they've been turning out bad. Maybe its the brand of wine kits?

Hey, hey, hey! It's Ultimate Jakegnosis!

How's everybody doing?

Saint Keggers
01:35 / 12.06.06
Good. You?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:42 / 12.06.06
Have you been less thorough with the cleaning before and during with the latest batches? That might be part of it. I think that really affected the early ones we did.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
01:43 / 12.06.06
Wonderful, actually. I'm drinking wine, after a great day of mini golf. My best buddy came up from Massachusetts to visit, and we drank absinthe and played God Of War on PS2. It's been an excellent couple of days. Also, my new job rules.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:48 / 12.06.06
I bought a bike today! Only I don't get to pick it up until tomorrow, because they were doing a bunch of prep work on it like attaching fenders and such.I dunno.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
01:56 / 12.06.06
You guys are wine people, eh? My new bartending employment requires me to absorb as much wine knowledge as possible in a short period of time. Any input as to books, websites, etc.?

Papers- Bike as in bicycle or motorcycle?

Saint Keggers
02:02 / 12.06.06
Jake: I took a course in winemaking for college and the only other wine book I've read was skimming my parents copy of wine for dummies. Saddly I lost all my wine websites during the dreaded hard drive crash of '05.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:12 / 12.06.06
Bicycle. Will need to name once I've got hir in my own two hands.

Wine is a lot of fun. We talk periodically about distilling gin, but I don't think patience is unlimited enough.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
02:33 / 12.06.06
Keggers: Ouch. Hard drive crashes are teh suck. I'm planning on buying an external hard drive to back up important shit for just that reason.

Anyone around?

It's the regulars!

S'on now! What are you guys up to?

Saint Keggers
22:27 / 13.06.06
Well, I just finished a delightful meal of spaghetti and am now going through all the files on my hard drive looking for photographs to include in a portfolio.

You?

Jake, Colossus of Clout
22:29 / 13.06.06
I'm actually making spaghetti right now! I've just cooking the last water out of my marinara sauce, boiling the pasta and heating these intriguing meatless meatballs I bought on a whim. Also drinking wine and listening to a little Morrissey.

Saint Keggers
22:30 / 13.06.06
You lost me at meatless meatballs...but you got me back at wine.

Yesterday I bought two (really four) cool things.

Firstly, I got the first three volumes of Scott Pilgrim, which have more sheer enjoyment packed between their covers than almost any comic I can remember. I fucking love it! Buy buy buy!

The other was The Delgados Complete BBC Peel Sessions album, which was released yesterday. They formed in my early teens, split up in my early twenties and kind of soundtracked the years in between. Glasgow band. Very close to my heart. Very, very fucking good and were criminally underappreciated.

The split was kind of sudden and out of the blue, so this album's a really nice epitaph.

Oh! And, I'll be 24 on Friday!

w00t!

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

Surprisingly enough, I'm at work. Listening to the latest Revolting Cocks album.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
22:34 / 13.06.06
Nice! You have big drinking plans, eh?

iamus
22:37 / 13.06.06
Not so much, no.

Thinking of doing my usual Friday-night, "out to the pub to see my pals DJ" thing. Not really one for pomp and circumstance, me.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
22:37 / 13.06.06
The Revolting Cocks!? They're still around!?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

First album in yeeeaaarrrsss.

Al Jourgensen's suddenly got prolific again. Must be to do with cutting out the smack.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
22:51 / 13.06.06
Nice to hear Al's off the junk.

Iamus- Just remember to hit every bar in sight to get your free drinks on. Scott Pilgrim's worth the purchase, then?
