So then guys, how to you draw?
I always draw with a pen *first*, just because it doesn’t need as much constant sharpening as a pencil, and because I don’t have the option of rubbing anything out, ie I don't have any excuse to stop. Then I lay that onto a sheet of glass that I rest on my knees- I use the door from an old bathroom cabinet, fact fans - and clutch a desklamp between my ankles and draw it out on a clean sheet of paper with le brush. Then I throw that all in the bin and start again. Repeat until I die of old age, probably.
Alternatively: I’ll get my act together and then maybe one day I’ll be rich and I’ll have proper equipment. Or else I’ll just keep a studio full of ‘assistants’, and I’ll make them all balance glass doors on their knees and clutch desklamps between their ankles instead, bwah-ha-etc
