Now that my characters are done levelling up, I've found that playing zombie is quite amusing. lekvar spends his points finding victims to infect, bites once and moves on to spread misery elsewhere.

PlayDaddy is finding more than enough to do wandering about Williamsville being selfless, healing the sick, raising the dead and generally playing Messiah.

Actually, I think that will be PD's schtick from now on...

Guys, I killed myself so I could buy the last couple of zombie skills. Can anyone give me a revive? I'm outside SE Krinks.

Bored? BORED?!

Get a Zombie character! Caiger Mall is currently witnessing the biggest and longest Mall seige that the game has ever seen! The survivors inside are awesome players and have somehow managed to keep The Undying Scourge, The RRF and other groups at bay. It's one of the coolest things that's happened since the game began. (and even though I've been known to rant, this really is the biggest seige that the game has witnessed.)

Check the UD forums for more info or just go to the stats page and scroll down to the groups section, where you'll find Caiger Mall survivors. (the biggest group) The name links to the wiki page aswell.

My Humans.....one is bounty hunting and whilst it's slow, it's great when I get a PK'er every couple of days. The other, Xyu, is in a quiet area and with all of the Human skills, just collecting XP now. That is pretty boring, but it's still cool trying to collect enough XP for a jump out of a window to get the Zombie skills too.

So yeah, get a Zombie! I'd have been bored of this game long ago without my Zombie characters and the horde I'm in.

btw : Caiger Mall is on the edges of Darvall Heights and Chudleyton.

Any NTs in the north-west of Malton (or indeed anywhere except Krinks, cos Wheelie's there) feel like giving old Victor a revive?

Wow, I've had a guy in Chudleyton for days and didn't even notice. Guess I'll help fight the horde of 299 (now 298 thanks to my pistol) zombies camped outside a single block of the mall.

Madness.

Whoo, thanks for the heads up, eon. Including lekvar there's 302 zombis at Caiger Mall!

Another suggestion for anybody who's bored:
Travel.

Seriously, roam the map. Things'll get exciting for you right quick when you don't know where you're going to be sleeping or where the next round of ammo will be coming from.

Yeah, Victor was doing the whole "walking the Earth" thing for a while. It was kind of fun, then he got a little too settled in the one suburb... shoulda kept walking, I guess.

Maybe it's time to start another character and work your way up again...

And there I was, chillin' in Caiger Mall (found a liquor store that wasn't completely looted), mindin' me own buznuz, all seemed quiet and suddenly this horde of zeds showed up!

Anyway, stuck around for a few days, helping out, but then needed some R&R. Fully restocked at Thompson Mall and now heading back north for some serious hunting..
Anybody feel free to join the party

What? I rant on about the major Zombie attack and you people start sending Humans down there to help against us?! (apart from Lekvar, nice one!)

If I see any of you I'm eating your arms. Be careful at Tompson Mall aswell, (Lockettside) because it's starting to turn into PK'er wars down there from what I've heard.

w00t!

Electricity returns to Malton. The Krinks and Tolman power stations are still out of action, but a number of survivors have been seen carrying small petrol-powered generators through the ruined streets. Doctors with appropriate training are now able to take advantage of temporary hospital lighting and equipment.

I just checked and found this on the wiki :

Generator :

Locations: Mall Hardware Stores, Fire Stations

When used inside a building, it is removed from your inventory and placed at your current location ("A portable generator has been set up here."). It must be filled from a fuel can before it starts running.
If a generator is running in a hospital, it allows doctors in that hospital to use the Surgery skill.
The outside description of a building in which a portable generator is running will include "Lights are on inside." Zombies can attack the generator from the inside and destroy it.

I just found out about the new skill from this and got it :

You have Surgery (Player can heal a further 5HP if working in a hospital with power.)

They had a generator in Caiger Mall, it lasted about half an hour and then someone broke it when we got inside. It can be attacked and broken from the dropdown list, next to the barricades apparently.

Cheers anyway, I didn't even know there was a new skill.

Alllright. Game's interesting again.

Stonewall's set up a generator in one corner of Krinks (that makes three corners with generators), but he has no fuel for it. NE corner, btw. If anyone cares.

Wheelie's on his way back from the mall... gimme a couple of days, I'll head back over there and try to pick up some fuel before heading back to Krinks.

I was looking in the wrong place.

And according to the boards, generators only have a use in hospitals (they'll work anywhere, but I think Surgery can only be performed in a hossie).

I've got a good little thing going, one high level healer in a nice hospital that is well protected - two low level firemen with axes and bloodlust, who nip out get a slashing, and then return home for a healing.

Wow I can't believe people have built Barricade Bots for UD, it's on the Caiger Mall wiki page *shakes head*.

Hmmm wonder when the cellphone towers will start up?

South east krinks seems to be subject to repeated attacks - I woke up to find tow zombies in there - one was still active- luckily i was tooled-up enough to take them both out and cure my own infections... but it might be an idea to move on soon...

Two zombies? That's nothing.

Any single zombie can knock down very strong barricades in one day's turns. Easily.

Fact o' life, kiddo.

Wow I can't believe people have built Barricade Bots for UD, it's on the Caiger Mall wiki page *shakes head*.

I think that's been proved to be wrong now. (and those comments have been edited out) I'm still there with The Scourge and in the UD thread we've started picking out these accounts, which now look like they're just multi's in the same locations and not bots like we first thought.

The Humans have been cool about it though, and both sides are now working together to make sure that these dickheads are killed more or less straightaway. I think about 7 cases have been found so far and they're getting dealt with, so it's looking ok.

The battle is still going on anyway, and the Zombie forces (almost all of the biggest in Malton now) are getting a lot better at launching co-ordinated attacks, so hopefuly it'll be over soon and we'll have won. It's been the biggest battle in the history of the game for a good few days now aswell, and it's been awesome taking part in it.

Caiger's wild, it's like the Do Lung bridge in Apocalypse Now. The SE is likely to fall catastrophically before the weekend.

There's one above the Clayton Building [35,93], adjacent to Krinks. It says it's on the roof, but I'm unsure whether it can be attacked by Zs or not.

It's crazy at Caiger, just checked back in, and it's a total hive of activity. If you want a real-life Vietnam metaphor, it's like Khe Sanh. Bring it on, waves of the undead! What else would all these neck chewing and headshot skills be for anyway?
