if you only followed that link and thn came back, you should check this one:

-"Doctor, 'm afraid I'm homophobic."
- "You're afraid of homosexuals?"
-"I might be, yes."
- "You're not sure?"
-"I don't know any homosexuals. And that's suspicious, because one out of ten people is homosexual. Why am I avoiding them?"

driller killer is worse than most movies, PW.
its absolutely fucking abysmal.
it's one of the worst gore-core films i have seen, i reckon.

watch it if you can be arsed.

It's definitely on my "One day when I get hold of a video / DVD player"-films to watch list. Is the gore worse than the sheer horror of 'Salo'? My friend seemed to think so, but I could only imagine that there was more blood, etc, rather than the horribly-clever filming / acting / etc in 'Salo'.

Hmm... it's actually not very good. I have this "not really liking Abel Ferrara" thing going on, but I was kind of disappointed. All those "video nasties" having been banned for so long gives them such a build-up that most of them are a disappointment. (Evil Dead is, of course, a huge exception). You're just left going like "THIS is what I used to dream of being able to watch when I was at school?" I Spit On Your Grave is still pretty fucking shocking, though. The rape scene is, as such things should be, genuinely difficult to watch. As a result, you TOTALLY want her to kill all those guys.

Salo, imho, is both more disturbing and a million times better directed. (It's one of those films that I'm glad I own, but am very unlikely to watch again. It was... a bit much, really).

Ah, toksik got there first. But I concur.

y'know, bruce campbell greets me daily.
my old computer used to tell me tales of a crack commando unit that, in 1972, were sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. apprently, they promptly escaped a maximum security stockade to the los angeles underground. i think it was an advert from american radio because it ended by explaining that, despite still being wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. it seems that if you had a problem, if no one else could help, and if you were able to find them, then you could hire them.
i forget what they were called.
bruce is better, i feel.
those radio ads get so boring.

Yeah, Salo gets me the same way. Which is why I like it, I suppose: it's almost perfect in that one shouldn't really want to watch such scenes over and over again, and well, with Salo not many people do. I'm certainly VERY glad I've seen it; it's an amazing piece of art in many, many ways.

But back to nice things, like cute animal companions. Any tips on how to introduce a lovely but very inquisitive dog to a slightly nervous young cat?

OI! KEGGERS! SORT - IT - OUT! Before some sprite comes along and sucks out all that talent before you can share it with the world (which is your sacred duty as an Artist, remember!)

Evenin', Meludreen.

Can someobody PLEASE invent a beer-proof credit card? Amazon and alcohol are emptying my coffers and cluttering my already-cluttered room. Since yesterday I've ordered Sax's novel, a Justin Sullivan solo album (w00t!) and a Rob Zombie CD/DVD. And it can only get worse from here.

Whoah. I'd totally forgotten that one of the bad guys in Corpses wears a plain T-shirt that just says "CHEAP ASS HALLOWEEN COSTUME" on it. That rocks.

I only ever watch this movie when I'm drunk. WHich is probably why I still have no idea how it ends.
